Auction House Realm Hopping For Best Prices

I moved to a new realm, Prices on the Auction House are 50% higher then the other realm. I try to sell my items at 50% lower then the normal prices on the new realm. Warsong Realm vs Bleeding Hollow Realm Battle groups. I think Warsong has such a bad rep for high prices, the items do not even sell.

I also was not a player that hops realms to shop for better prices as I did not know battle realm prices very so greatly.

Battle realm AH prices can cripple a low pop Auction House and rip off the players that do not have such friends that hop realms to make gold off the poor.

What do you mean hop realms for the AH. Do you think people are paying $25 every 3 days to move to a different server?

On warsong realm, there are a lot of bleeding hollow players in Stormwind. I can see realm by the players name and *, the * shows the realm name they are from.
So, to pop a realm to shop the AH seems easy.

They can’t use your auction house.

Then why do I see Bleeding Hollow players in the Stormwind AH on Warsong Realm that look like they can see the AH and talking to the Auctioneer?

I wouldn’t know, but you can only see the auction house on your home server, or servers you are linked to. If your server is linked with theirs there is only one AH for both servers.

It’s a feature called Cross Realm Zones. Basically Blizz just sticks players from all different realms in an instance of Stormwind until it’s full and then opens another instance until it’s full.

That doesn’t mean they are using the same auction house as you though. Just because they are standing next to you doesn’t mean the AH window that pops up for them is the same as yours. Bleeding Hollow isn’t connected to any other realms so the only people who buy and sell on BH’s AH are people from BH.

Do you know if AHs in retail are shared between servers? I asked this in trade chat today on my server but no one replied.

I was wondering because I was selling stuff and it came into my head its possible (I came back on first day of classic on a near 7 year haiaitus)

No, they aren’t. The only time they are shared is for Connected Realms. Outside that they are separate.

Some servers have been connected, the AH is shared between them. If your server isn’t connected with others then it won’t share an AH with anyone. Horde and Alliance all share one AH on a server now though.

If you look at the server forum list at the bottom of the forum page you can see if your server is connected to others.

Emerald Dream isn’t connected to any other server so your AH is ED only.

Oh that’s also good to know that factions are sharing the AH now.

After Meritha told me about connected realms I searched to see wether or not Emerald Dream was connected and it isn’t as you said.

I was selling some stuff and was using it like I used it in MoP, without realizing there might be other stuff to take into account, like how much potential competition I might have, then I thought of the potential its all a massive sharing AH.

I hope people start coming back from classic soon. I still like retail more >< Even started making alt, and I found 3 rare spawns so far.
