revert the changes immediately and go back to server only auction houses. the prices of the hard work farming is absolute garbage. the boosting websites controlling the auction house run bots driving prices down all day while they sit on brutos controlling the stuff people actually need. its simple to figure out who they are. remove tsm cancel auctioning and limit actions per day and ban anyone who is making absurd amounts of actions per day. these guys are ruining the economy of the game. the longer you guys enable them the more this game will further decline in overall participation
Nobodies going to stop AH goblins. They will make money no matter what you do.
All your suggestion would do is kill off servers that are already unhealthy
I love the way the AH works now. I dump my Trade Goods bag on the AH after every session. A lot of my stuff sells before I get it all listed.
ok.
nothing changes except the bots are local to your server now.
Put higher taxation and cap the amount of trades a bnet account can make and watch the goblin tears fall down.
Everything has a now a 30% tax cut on the price you put and you can only make 20 ah actions in a day per bnet. Enjoy.
Also why the hell not, just make it so the ah is not scannable and remove ah addons.
If they want to play the ah they better get their pen and paper out.
me and the boys about to dump some thistle tea in the stormwind harbor.
That’s gonna be some salty tea.
Initially the prices were terrible with the region wide auction house but they are holding up pretty well now so I have changed my opinion of it. It is nice to just be able to post stuff in your bags and have it all sell.
The one thing I really wish they would fix before next expansion, is to make the profession patterns/recipes be region wide as well.
I too blame big video game gold.
Or you could get off your lazy duff and farm it yerself.
That’s just going to cause a massive inconvenience for average players and make it impossible to buy anything at reasonable prices because people aren’t going to list most things on the AH. Players will basically be forced into trade chat to buy commodities at a reasonable price which may seem like fun at first but will lead to insane amounts of trade chat spam. The big time goblins will adjust to the restrictions too by focusing on big ticket items and investing in multiple accounts to get around it.
Also not having access to addons in order to figure out crafting profits etc. Is already best done using a spreadsheet so it wouldn’t actually be that big a deal for crafters who know how the system works just with more manual price updates. Not having TSM etc. for prices would again hurt the casual AH user more who doesn’t have a solid grasp on the market. Just seems like a terrible set of ideas overall.
Love clueless people. 30% tax would mean nothing, Goblins would reflect that to the final price anyway. Buyers will pay more!!!
20 ah limit would make even a common items extremely expensive due to limited amount. This would obviously destroy the economy and the average player would not be able to affford anything.
the new ah is garbage. it doesn’t even have half the filters the old ah had.
Nonsense.
If bots were really ruining the economy by controlling the AH, they’d be buying up all stock in everything below a certain price automatically as soon as it’s listed, then re-listing their inventory at a much higher price, so they’re the ones making money off of people who actually need the items.
The reason the prices are so low, is because people are lazy, and undercut when they don’t need to, even to the point of selling things below what they’d get if they vendored it.
It’s not that hard.
People will keep using the ah because most people aren’t willing to wait in trade chat just to buy consumables. Sure if you want to sell on the trade for a cheaper price in bulk that always has been a thing and this is good for the game. People selling directly to other people without the ah reduce the risk of ah goblins flipping by a decent margin.
And they could but the risk and profit will be multiplied by the number of accounts cost. How much accounts would they be willing to use without automation and be able to evade a ban? not many.
You’re making it sound like we couldn’t survive without ah goblins, I’m willing to try. It won’t hurt the casual ah user.
They can’t keep flipping with a huge tax else they’ll barely make any profit. Each flip with this kind of tax make people that do not play the game and only sit at the ah less competitive.
Nah you’d just have to unload your stock all at once without re-posting much. Again this defense of the ah goblin as some savior that adds to the market is just not true. Normal people post stuff at decent prices, ah goblins are those that keep buying to flip and inflate price. There isn’t a reason in the world for me to care about some leech like that or to think they’re are the ond saving the world by generously taking a cut.
You know what happens in a market without re-sellers? People that actually put the work outside just re-selling make the profit and you pay a fair price.
Never become a developer. You have no idea what’s good for a game.
The AH isn’t server-wide only now? lol 100% bots and goldseller websites control it then. I guess this change happened due to players on low pop servers crying about their AH’s?
only thing that is server wide is
mats
potion
food and other items of like unless op is dumping the end of expansion mats and getting burned its their fault
