Not really. Bots are used to farm gazillion stacks of mats and dump them on the AH effectively crashing the market, the goblins are the ones that usually buy out these dumps and manage to keep the material prices at a price compatible to the demand, and profit selling crafted goods or flipping the materials for their regular price. Plus no human being will be 24/7 at the auction house, so you just need to know what time of day the hardcore goblins operate and post on their off hours. That’s AH-playing 101 for you.
You really lack awareness about how high-pop economy works, dude. You play on low pop, by any means?

This is a truly baffling and awful change. Anyone who posts more than a few dozen AH Items will be affected by this since a majority of people have some kind of AH Addon. I really don’t understand why this change was made or even considered necessary. We’ve been dealing with the AH perfectly fine for a decade and a half. It hasn’t been a problem before, why is it a problem now?
This just harms the players and nothing more. It won’t fix the AH and instead will actively harm it. Many markets are cornered by a few people because that’s all whose interested in them. IF you kill that interest, the market dies with it. Especially on the lower population servers, we’ll see a decrease in posts and sales as a result of this, when their economy does not need this at all.

heck it isnt even an addon! the actual UI is stifled. make raiders load times an hour per instance. lockout times between bosses. pvpers same

Bots continue to be a thing, but lets mess with the people using an addon that requires a live person using it.

I second this. If they apply this to only cancel scans, I would just make two or three or however many items and undercut with out cancelling.

Can’t really do anything about bots, the creators have insanely high motivation to stay ahead of blizzard. Making botting programs makes a ton of money.
Best they can do is find the hole they’re using, ban the user and fill the hole, but then the bot makers will just find another. No game is without bots/cheats.
They could just do a massive ban wave for bots, but I’m guessing they are scared of hurting their numbers before they put out their Q2 profits and earnings report to investors.

There’s not enough multiboxers out there to affect profits so much they keep them around. They ban more bots every year then the amount of multiboxers.

Are you sure you play the game? I know lots of guys who sit at the AH 24/7 minus the 3 hours a week for raiding.
Maybe you don’t know as many people as you think you do.
This is so stupid. What is wrong with people having AH addons, might as well remove addons who automate other stuff like decursive, healbot ect. They just keep screwing gold makers up since BFA. For anyone who farms mats to pay for their WoW token for example, this is horrible. If no one resets the markets, mats will become super cheap (and no, people wont buy them more if they are cheaper). Basically everything will lose value (like the crafted items made with these mats). This was a problem for no one. Literally no poor person in WoW has thought ‘wow, these AH addons are really making my gameplay worst’. No. This is a problem for blizzard only. This is stupid and it makes the game worst for people who enjoy making gold. I’m really disapointed with all the changes they have made since BFA for the gold making playerbase. Seriously pick on a different playerbase now blizz, you’ve screwed us up enough now!
