I remind you again, you kept saying it wasn’t automated. TSM used to be fully automated. All they did was make you press cancel and scan. It does all the work for you. You could set it up for a complete noob who has no knowledge of WOW, and as long as the operations and groups are set up right with the proper data… they’ll make money.
It does too much.
You obviously didn’t play in it’s early days when it was in fact… fully automated. Try again.

I actually agree with this, though I have done it when I was using TSM. The only problem is we still need to be able to cancel auctions we posted accidentally.
So just a headsup to anyone who is having their game “lag out” when they hit the posting limit just restart your game and the post counter is reset and you can interact with everything again.
To everyone suggesting limiting cancels - many people don’t even use them and instead opt to list more of the same item as the possibility, even if small, exists that the other items will still sell.
Our definitions of automated differ, in your mind any filling in of API variable is automated. So therefore EVERY addon is automated.
You’ll be able to cancel them, just not repost them as soon as you do.
Anything not cosmetic gives you an advantage over other players lol.
I’ll almost always be a fan of nerfing merchants.
ftr, I only cancel an auction when I post it for too cheap - and that almost always happens when I use the standard AH interface.
I don’t cancel scan looking to always be on top.
And if that’s what they were trying to slow down then why not slow down the cancels? But now, it now takes 10x longer for TSM to scan the auction and then 3 or 4x as long to post my auctions.
So I hit auction, walk away for 10 minutes and then come back and then click, wait a couple seconds, click, wait, repeat.
And you know Blizz knows they are doing us dirty cause they didn’t even come here to announce the change or the why of it.

Technically even cosmetic can give you and advantage.
If it just places something like your buffs in an easier to view spot or moves something in a place where is more suitable to you, that’s an advantage.
right now I have to either click per auction…or set my scroll wheel and keep rolling it per action.
The only real advantage I get from TSM is not having to drag every single item into the AH window, which if I had to, Id stop selling on the AH entirely at this point. They need to make it so we can list everything we want to sell at once…even if it does actually list it slowly one by one. Its that dragging it all out of my bag, or clicking it one by one thats an annoyance.

I could go for that. It’d still suck if you’d posted a mount for 90g instead of 90kg and wanted to post it again, but it’d solve some griefing issues and save you from losing a huge profit.
That’s true, I use an (old as dirt) addon called CT Buff Mod and it shows buffs/debuffs in a bar format with a timer so I can quickly and easily see remaining time on debuffs vs that stock nonsense with buffs and their microscopic timer under an icon.
I didn’t ever cancel scan until the Last In First Out system they deployed with the new auction house. I much preferred the old system if someone undercut me at least they were making less. I will have to run a second account now so I can play the game at all and still be able to post.
All this change is going to accomplish is significantly cutting the amount of gold people not willing to run 2 accounts (IE. typical or casual players) can make. I imagine prices will go up noticeably as most people won’t have time to post large amounts of items anymore which is what the current economy and crafting itself is geared for.

I used the first builds of TSM in Cataclysm and it had less functions than it has now, and no automation whatsoever. Stop lying, mate.
Your lack of basic knowledge shows that you never used or understood what TSM does. Stop talking about something you have no clue about.

On my server there are several posters that have five accounts posting hundreds to thousands of auctions continuously, and stay on over 10 hours a day dominating all auctions. They are on right now still posting and will continue with the restrictions you have added. This will not help the casual poster or the competition to these posters. It will actually help them as competition will reduce and you will only have those few posters to buy all your gear from. Inflation will increase, and you will have even fewer players who post. My posts were a soft cap with a low profit margin. No Longer! Lets get the 1% all of the gold !
