Hello Blizzard team,
I’m reporting a visual bug in the Auction House that caused me to lose a large amount of gold.
I bought a Venom Stalker’s Strap from the AH thinking it was the purple version, because that’s how it appeared in the search results. But when I received the item, it turned out to be the green version instead.
At first I thought it was just a mistake, but I tested again today and found the real issue. The Auction House search results are showing the wrong transmog color.
When you search for the item, it shows one appearance. But if you click the listing and press Ctrl+Click to preview the actual item, it shows the real version you’re buying — which is different.
This same problem happened with other items too, like Adorned Lynxborne Pauldrons. In the search they show one color, and in the preview they show another.
Because of this bug, I spent most of the gold I had saved over a year to buy the wrong item. I really wanted the purple version of the Venom Stalker’s Strap, and that’s what I believed I was paying for.
I have screenshots that clearly show the issue, but I don’t have permission to post links or images here on the forum. If needed, I can provide these images through other means.
Please investigate this issue. I’m not asking for a refund — I simply want to receive the correct version of the item I bought, which is the purple version of the Venom Stalker’s Strap.
