These forums are unironically the BEST way to gauge the communal response to changes to the game. Not reddit or 4chan, right here.
I get the amount of traffic through here is tiny but it is very representative of the community and they always have been. Sucks devs don’t spend time here though you gotta flame them on twitter instead

Did I insult them with derogatory accusations, did I defend anyone who does… no. So how about you brush up on your reading comprehension because it isn’t doing you any good here.

I blame the executive side and the ones that hold the purse strings.
Chasing esports, streaming, and market fads did more damage than confused developers who probably didn’t have a say in direction or balancing.
Microsoft is inheriting so many problems that activison won’t be on the hook for. Except maybe esports, as they pitched the OW teams ect ect… So im assuming they have foscal responsibility to investors if they’re feeling they were promised more than they recieved.

I mean as a buisness owner if i had employees that regularly mess up and drive customers away id fire them.
Sorry to the softies out there but at the end of the day this is a business.
The bare minimum for running a business is that your customers should feel happy with the product they get, and that their feedback is listened to. If you aren’t accomplishing that, you don’t get to be sad when your customers complain.

Its a case by case thing. Sometimes when the same issue that spawns from a fundamental design problem keeps popping up the question unfortunately has to be asked and that question is why with the exclamation mark. From a consumer side its hard to see where the issues come from, and personally I don’t think blindly attacking anyone you can including devs to be productive.
That said why is the ww tier set like this?! blizzard plz.
There’s a difference between complaining about an aspect of the game and directly going after developers who may or may not have had a hand in what someone is complaining about.
Example: Constructive vs Destructive criticism that people keep bringing up?
Constructive: I do not like X because of Y.
Destructive: I do not like X and Dev is bad and should feel bad.
It’s not rocket science, you can trash the game all you want but it does no good unless you explain why you are not satisfied. Ranting about people ranting doesn’t help either, people are allowed to be unsatisfied and it’s highly doubtful that a stranger on the forums would be able to change their opinion.
I think for me the most amusing part in all of this is that it’s just a video game, and y’all act like it’s your career or life savings or retirement at stake if they make changes you don’t approve of.
Then you come to the forums and post in a manner where you act like because you feel outraged, everyone else must also feel outraged, then the insults towards devs, then the insults to anyone engaging you on the forums. (yes, even “learn to read” is an insult).
You guys need a snickers lol.
I do think it’s petty and lame to attack devs just because players are disappointed. However, it’s completely warranted to generally complain about said disappointments and questioning the dev process as a whole. It’s kind of one of those things where a released product is up for scrutiny at any time. But again, there’s a difference between attacking a person and raising a fair concern about their work.
They refuse to take accountability for their actions so now they’re all grouped into one. Either have some group of devs come out and apologize or keep taking the heat.
And they should apologize. These guys are PAID and they’re doing things like extreme nerfs/buffs by like upwards of %20-%50??? WHO DID NOT DO THEIR JOB
It sure is a shame, but this is the internet where anyone can say anything, and not many people can stop you.

You want a constructive criticism message? Not for Developers but for customer service? To stop giving suspensions when they don’t agree with an opinion, they should be polite in all ways possible and if someone makes a statement that might look negative for the general perspective of a situation but is truth, then they should not try to have the final word even when they might be wrong trying to makeup situations to look good. We should all be honest and truth if we really love this community. Don’t we have freedom to express our thoughts? Is more than one person that prefer save some opinions from forums scared they might get banned, I mean cmon, where have we gone to? Might get banned for expressing this? Years ago they even evaluated all situations before taking the Ban hammer.
