I see that curse of weakness has been changed to affect attack power instead of physical damage. What exactly does this change do? Is attack power used by spells in addition to physical attacks? And does this mean it affect a wider range of skills now? Just trying to figure out how big of a change it really is.
Cause even though specs such as ret and havoc use attack power, a lot of their damage is magical. Therefore the old curse of weakness being physical only, had no effect on this damage.
So now any class that uses attack power (agility and strength based) that ALSO does magical damage is affected (ret pally’s) not just pure physical (fury warriors)
The magical damage that they use scales off attack power. So it’s a pretty good talent now.
It is but it isn’t.
It’s great for when you get forced into melee with a warrior/pala/enh/rogue/drood/dk. But you shouldn’t be getting into situations where that happens and 9/10 times you’re dead anyway.
Well it is bad how stationary a warlock is no question, we are forced into a face to face with melee.
Demo does have a lot of ways to deal with melee though, we sort of push them away and shut them down instead of escaping.
Melee for a demo lock was really not that bad, now we are even stronger, my felguards demonic strength blade storm is actually better then my warriors, plus I can have a second fel guard hitting pretty damn hard on top of that. It also is a second stun on top of coil and fear.
We have to work harder yeah but we are by no means incapable of dealing with melee.
