Atiesh priority list?

Who gets this staff first in a priority list?

Whoever is the biggest contributor to the guild.

Weighing the benefits based on the aura is pretty pointless. If your guild can get Atiesh they’ve already cleared all vanilla content. So that doesn’t really need to be considered.

Thanks! I was just curious.

The caster in the guild who contributes the most, although in many guilds it will probably just be an officer who takes it for himself.

It’s mostly a trophy item. By the point someone attains Atiesh, all clearable content will be done. So it would go to someone who is willing to stick around for farm. This is assuming no new content is added.

Usually officers aren’t going to leave the guild after either.

Not my point, never said it wasn’t usually deserved.

But sometimes it’s not deserved and officers will still take loot for themselves with a loot council system.

Feral druids for sure

Mage is the biggest boost for the group. Warlock/Priest are 2nd. Druid is last.

There’s no feral weapon remotely as good as Atiesh.

That said, it should go to guild leaders and officers first, without question.

Shamans.

O, wait, shamans get screwed when it comes to legendaries in classic. Always thought it was piss poor design that out of 3 major legendary weapons (sulfuras, atiesh, and thunderfury), shamans could only use one and it was only good for pvp…

… why?

Meanwhile, Hunters can only use one, and it’s not good for them, at all.

Yea but apparently every weapon is a hunter weapon anyways.

Though, I see to recall their legendary bow being pretty good, no?

Your most dedicated caster officer.

There is no legendary bow in vanilla.

Because the logistics of running a 40 man raiding guild is really stupid, and officers put in about twice as much work as raiders towards making the guild a functional and fun place to spend your time. They’re also in charge.

Legendaries are guild symbols more than they are pieces of loot. You dont give Atiesh to some dude who you poached half way through naxx because he’s a god mage, you give it to the dude who’s made your raids happen for the last 18 months.

That’s easy. I do of course.

So what? Giving them a legendary doesn’t help them with managing the guild in any way, and any decent guild’s officers are going to be more interested in the guild’s success than their own.

And what if the dude who made your raids happen for the last 18 months isn’t even able to use Atiesh, e.g. a main tank Warrior (common guild leader class)?

Or what if the officers in your guild are a Druid, Mage, Priest, and Warlock? Which one of them gets it first?

Honestly, if I were in a guild that prioritized giving loot (including legendaries) to officers instead of people it would be useful on, I’d quit and join a better guild, because that guild isn’t going to get very far.
