At this point what can even saved ranked pvp?

Definitely would have to be a different recolor, otherwise the 3 dozen 3v3 mains that push for the glad mount every season would get really upset, not to mention the ones making money doing boosts.

Not hating on those making that $$$, and I think it’s awesome to make it playing a video game tbh, just hate that it ruins the integrity of the game.

4 sets, lfr, normal, heroic, mythic.

I think a different xmog at a more attainable rating for the pve masses(1800), will help more with PvP participation than a glad mount at 2.4

Even PvP’ers ain’t bothering with glad mount this season

imagine that there was a good, better game there before that people liked.

Then that game was made unavailable in place of a worse option. Kind of like going from WOD to Legion. You had no choice. Also it ran like shot at the start, my PC couldn’t handle it anymore.

This is why people don’t like OW 2.

Also F2P. Yuck. Need to unlock characters.

I think you don’t understand because you don’t play Overwatch, or didn’t play OW 1

isnt the hate on overwatch 2 because it’s literally just overwatch 1

Everything you said is spot on.

Alot of git gud players and youtubers have been playing for 5-10 years.

Pvp will never become healthy again until it’s available for all people to get in and enjoy.

New players dont stand a chance and there’s no proper training on what to do either.

Why do I have to have 20 keybinds to play a multiplayer game? Not even League, one of the most profitable and popular esports in the world have nowhere near this clutter. Please Blizzard, prune it. The elitists will play your game no matter what.

I played both, and still semi-regularly play overwatch 2. I was nothing special at it, but peaked at low-mid diamond doing purely solo queue, and even now in ow2, where I don’t even know what 1/3 of the characters do/don’t play that often, I still manage to stay in high gold/low plat.

Going from 6 players to 5 wasn’t inherently a bad thing, and imo it actually gave individual roles more agency.

Overwatch 2 is balanced better, and is also easier to balance thanks to 5v5.

Having to unlock characters I agree was lame, but they have fixed that. You still have to unlock new characters on a new account, but you have access to all of them now on your main account if you have played regularly.

If the pc requirements for ow2 are much more demanding, then I get that as being a legitimate gripe, but that doesn’t affect me at all.

Unjerking for a bit, I mildly agree with these points and I do actually intend to eventually play OW 2 again, but the game direction is so different there should be no question why some people don’t like it.

Also, we no longer have this:

I miss the old loot box system for sure. The game feels too much like a cash grab now with 3 different currencies, battle pass, etc.

I miss old genji and hog a lot too, e.g., being able to hard carry/solo wipe teams :frowning:

I don’t know if it’s permanent because I haven’t tried it, but classic overwatch is still available right now if I’m not mistaken (e.g., 6v6, old character balance, etc.)
