pushing a unfinished product after the reforged debockle and a year of bad publicity would cause them to lose a whole heck of allot of pennies.

wow is a different beast than reforged.
yes, they outsource art to china for wow like they did for reforged. but wow is a flagship title with like 600 or 700 working on it

what do you do for a living? dont mean to get personal but it sounds like you are in a job field with little to no exposer… or a boss that hates everyone.

I work for Alameda County. I’m exposed to every government building here. I work in all of them depending on what they need.

the state though is helping with this situation since im in washington but the boss is to small to really effectivly support the employees during this time. family owned biss
my job is basically my bosses:
“oh i know that its here, all of businesses are locked down, you need to stay in quarantine, but… you’re still coming to work right?”
I’m surprised you’re being forced in CA.
My boss hasn’t even brought it up, it’s just obvious that we’re expected to come in anyways.
We don’t even close for Christmas. I live in a place right next to an airport that’s extremely busy with people primarily coming from asia, and loads of our customers are tourists coming from overseas. What an excellent idea to force us to stay open. The only place in the area still open, and many peoples only option.
My chance of getting the virus is sitting at a cool 100%. I’m not happy about it, but I need to make a living somehow.

Blizzcon may be cancelled, or, more than likely, it may go fully virtual, with live-streams with development teams to discuss what’s happening with the games going forward.
As for Shadowlands. It may be delayed? It also may not be. They haven’t started the alpha yet, but multiple encrypted alpha builds are popping up, so, I’d expect the alpha soon and release later this year, maybe around November/December. We’ll see.

Saying that is easy. Losing real money is hard. If you have $100 k, would you be willing to lose $10k with no chance of recovery? It’s not some charity either. It’s for some limit amount of people.
Same thing still apply no matter the amount.
I don’t think they can, the bigger the company, the bigger its production cost will be.
Also Blizzard lose alot of money behind the screen with so many of their cancelled title.

Honeslty a 10% loss to random income isnt a big deal.
Dude it’s light weight weird how little our HR seems to care about this and how it may affect my department. The unequal treatment of different agencies in the county is astounding sometimes. I interact with the top of the top weekly as I perform duties for them. I’m about ready to walk in there myself and demand that they create a plan for us. I’ll go to work and stay in my central location, but I’m not trying to go to 7-10 job sites a day including hospitals, social service centers, public health sites, and the jail while this bs is going on.
It’s not about me feeling safe. I’m really not worried about it. But why should I expose myself when the pencil pushers get to kick it at home.
California is full of thin skins, but the people that run it only pretend to care about issues for votes and maintaining their positions. Behind closed doors they’re just as slimy and power hungry as any person they claim to be against. I know a lot of them personally and they could give two 
‘s about the agendas they supposedly fight for. It’s not about the people here. They hate the people they serve. I don’t blame them for not liking the people, I can’t stand them either. But using them the way they do and making this state worse for people like me who have standards does bother me.

its a risk at this point that needs to be taken for longevity.
If shadowlands is a bust they will lose more money than gain.
if a delay pisses off the stock stans not a issue. if a unfinished product shuns away consumers… thats a death sentence.
