Why would they spend money and dev time so some players don’t have to spend 30 seconds x 4 to see all the covenant stories?
You want convenience of not having to change covenants, easily access transmog, and the story. Got it. That was a lot of words for me at 3am.
Bit late in the game for this champ, lets hope they listen to us in DF.
I would agree with you if we were talking about plus or minus 10% in your preferred content, but in some cases entire covenents are completely irrelevent and in others they make up 30-50% of your damage.
A second point would be that the shadowlands story is faaaaar too weak to split it into four parts that is exclusive to each covenant. Made the entire expansion seem watered down or that something was missing.
I agree that players tend to optimize the fun out of the game, but you are being completely disingenuous and ridiculous by suggesting that players are somehow tieing blizzards hands by being such whiney pests and causing the current state of the game.
I think the “well balanced” is the issue with Bliz these days. They can’t seem to balance much without nerfing something else.
Its not really a dislike of choices, its the dislike of the poor setup, design and activation of those choices. Bliz enabled a mess, that’s for sure.
Also, it might just be kind of nice to be able to go for a “fully complete experience”, unlocking everything for all of the covenants, as opposed to “I can only use these things if I’m still with that covenant”.
Shadowlands is on the way out anyways, might just make a nice way to wrap it up. Especially yeah, if your covenant upgrades when account-wide, which would at least make a nice little perk for leveling alts.
This would really be good for a change. I’ve not really been able to enjoy my alts like I did in Legion or even BfA for that matter because of the tightness of the Shadowlands design, not being alt friendly.
I raid twice a week (casually) and enjoy it, but to be the best I can be on my resto shaman healer, I have to really jump through hoops that I do not remember having in my way in Legion. As for raiding in BfA, I did more dungeons than raids in that expac.
But those were fun, whereas in Shadowlands, raiding is more fun than M+ dungeons. When did Bliz ever consider the fun aspect? They seemed to have left that behind in their messed up design choices recently.
