Have I ever felt such a barrier to having fun.

This patch sucks, and I hate it. It represents the worst iterations of WoW, all in one. Timed solo events that punish you for being non-melee, AND that are integral to progressing in the patch. Mandatory daily grinds that award 1% for a kill. Gear with absolutely crazy RNG, with punishments for those who don’t want to succumb to the incessant grinding. Grinding necks, grinding cloaks, grinding essence, grinding RNG corruptions. As if I didn’t feel battered down enough by life in these times.

I honestly want to come back to WoW, but WoW is keeping me from doing that. I have never felt so frustrated.

No other patch had 3 alpaca mounts that hope in a circle so joyfully.

So it has that going for it.

I need to level a Priest next because I finished the cloak on my elemental shaman and I feel he’s easier to run visions with than my monk.

If you’re not doing assaults purely with the dailies and the events, then you’re doing them wrong. Do the events and you won’t even need all the dailies before you hit the 100% mark.

There’s a real lack of folks who are gonna come out and defend 8.3 as a solid contribution to WoW’s history.

8.3 is probably the worst WoW has ever been, especially since it undid some solid steps 8.2 and 8.2.5 did to fix BFA’s glaring issues.

Monks are so damn squishy, wth is up with that?

I have zero issues with my Boomie, but my monk gets wrecked.

Lol okay mister you can quit til SL nobody is stopping you. But I do agree, it is a lot of grinding and it sucks having to go through that looooong quest chain for the cloak on alts.

I didn’t actually think about this, how many systems do you have to particpate in for your character to feel powerful?

This is awful game design. Pretty sad to see.

That quest chain is the only reason I played my alts since its the only quest chain that gives reasonable rewards for trivial effort. Also you can skip half of it. I am more on board with everything that happens after it as being sucky. I have not upgraded my cloak on any of my 10 toons.

In my opinion, 8.3 had 2 things going for it.

  1. Alpaca mounts

  2. Horrific Visions

Horrific Visions are pretty fun. What works against them, however, is how limited they are. You can do one or 2, and then what? You’re stuck grinding invasion points until you can try again. Not good design itself in my opinion with something that could have a fair amount of replay value if they would simply let it happen.

Thats why I dont play end game, im working on loremaster 1-2 hours a day and doing 119 level pvp. also leveling other classes seeing what i wanna main for SL. Basically doing anything BUT bfa content. xd

I have yet to complete a horrific vision on any of my 10 toons. They are horrifically off balance. I always die before Thrall. This game has gone downhill since the end of Wrath but this is the icing on the cake.

Like I said, it’s just my opinion. I won’t expect everyone to agree for whatever reason they have.

Sounds like a you problem, not trying to mean here, but you shouldn’t die before thrall like… ever, unless you’re sub 400 ilvl or something.

I fight mobs over and over again and then I get to the mob befor thrall I beat them heal myself and then I get to the thrall fight survive 50% and then die and get 50 momentos and thats it. I can upgrade the cloak but after the first upgrade it takes exponentially more momentos and Thrall is the easy one.
