Rewards (1) and (2) require me to downgrade from item level 658 to 649 and then upgrade Hero with Guilded Undermine Crests which are difficult for someone who only runs Delves solo.
Hero 3/6 rewards are very scarce!
Reward (3) is almost a duplicate of one of my equipped trinkets
Suggestion:
(1)Allow Hero to be upgraded with Runed Undermine Crests (my favorite) or
(2)If equipped item is Champion 8/8, reward Hero 3/6
For now, I will probably pick one of the first 2 rewards and keep it in my bag until I have exhausted Champion upgrades to 8/8. Then I will start upgrading Hero 1/6 and keep it in my bag until it gets to Hero 3/6. I solely regret previously taking 5 slots of Hero 1/6 gear and getting rid of Champion 8/8. I should have kept the Champion 8/8 gear and stored the Hero 1/6 gear in my bag until it was upgraded to Hero 3/6. Upgrading Hero gear is a slog.
Indeed. That’s kind of the point. We hit our ceiling in Delves and any Gilded are going to be slower to acquire than they would be for higher end game content.
But we still get 31 Gilded a week.
No to both of these. If you want more Guilded or want higher levels of tracks, run the other content that drops them. We get more than enough from Delves.
Yes, OP, when you limit yourself to one type of gameplay you are going to eventually hit the gear cap that gameplay awards.
The solution is not having the same gameplay award increasingly better gear because you hit it’s cap. It’s branching out into other gameplay pillars and exploring what they have to offer.
I understand that and appreciate your response. I have been playing since 2004. Unfortunately, at age 83, I can’t do dungeons or raids due to handicaps related to my age. I really don’t expect Blizzard to change the game for me or others in a similar situation. We are a small group. The real purpose for me posting this was to warn players about selling Champion 8/8 gear when getting Hero 1/6 gear. Have a great day
Are you at 6/6 for any of your Hero gear yet? I would just reject the vault offerings and take your tokens that award runed crests at the vendor. Don’t upgrade any more champ gear and horde your crests for an enchanted 675 crest or full hero 6/6 upgrades.
All my champ gear stays at 4/8, gilded and runed crests go for Hero upgrades or an enchanted crest for 675 crafted gear.
(I know it’s a little late to do that now, but don’t upgrade any more champ gear and just run delves at T11 with a trove map unless farming for crests at lower tier levels.)
Hero 1-4 actually takes Runed crests, it’s only 5-6 that takes Glided. Also if you have upgrade that slot before, and it seems you have, you don’t have to use Runed crests again to reach the same iLv, just some Valorstones.
As mentioned you can get a one time per character per week chunk of gilded from using a delver’s bounty.
On an 8, it will give you 4 gilded. On an 11, it will give you 10 gilded. So it’s worth doing the higher tier if you can, but at least an 8 will still get you some.
I just did that today on this lowbie alt and said heck no I will take my tokens thank you.
