Hello. I am just wondering what the two different highlight colours mean. Always a blue and often several yellows. I have noticed the OBR only uses the blue highlighted skills. Is that the best path for using assisted highlight?
Thanks

Looks like blue for rotational abilities and yellow for cooldowns.
You’ll have to press your own cooldowns at the most suitable time (not when things are seconds from dead) while you’re using the blue abilities all the time.
No, it’s not that it. OBR does use them, but only when they have blue border. Highlight is for highlight assist anyway. Just want to know the difference between blue and yellow. Some of the normally blue skills also get yellow highlight too.
When I turned on highlight assist my touch of death was yellow and my kicks were blue, so I figure it’s either cds or procs
Na. All my main skills can be blue or yellow and sometimes both
It can be visually confusing. I usually just boink whatever button I feel like hitting.
That’s what I’ve been doing too xD
Just wondering if there is a priority over the 2 colous. Wish the answer was easy to find.
I tried finding the answer to this for months. Nothing. So maybe you’ll figure it out and I’ll get the benefit of commenting here.
My experience is that the yellow light ups show up whether the assisted highlight is on or not. I believe they have to do with longer cooldowns (edited: I now think it’s procs, not cooldowns)
When the assisted highlight is on the spells it wants you to press are outlined in blue, along with the yellows.
I think blue are procs, and yellow is the Assisted Highlight.
I think it’s the opposite. I’m on my arcane mage and she has glowing yellow Arcane Barrage, a proc waiting to be used.
The blue are the assisted highlight for sure.
(And I changed my answer from before, was thinking about it. Yellow is not long cool down spells.)
One colour is abilities the assisted highlight is telling you to use as part of your priority. The other is abilities that have some sort of modifier affecting them at the time from your spec / class toolkit. That modifier might make it instant, do more damage, trigger something else, or behave as a new ability entirely.
Ah, looking at it more, that makes sense. Thank you ![]()
So yellow should take priority.
