Assassination top damaging ability

So after performing a several different rotations, with utilizing the kyrian covenant ability to its maximum potential and hitting every envenom on either five combo point or a seven combo point as the kyrian ability allows you to do that, I have arrived to the same conclusion. After looking at details at the end of practice run I saw that my top damaging ability was my auto attacks doing my most damage, doing approximately 31% of my damage and envenom far second making up 18.2% of my damage. Did you get the same end result? What did you do different

On sin and sub with venthyr and necro covenants. a dungeon boss fight has my auto attack always at number one by about 30-32% as well.

How far behind is shadowstrike? That is usually my number one.

its usually #2. I don’t run enveloping shadows because I’m not a fan of dance spam gameplay

I mean if youre taking suboptimal talents thats your decision.

youre not wrong, blizzard just needs to move away from “wet noodle outside of damage cds” class design.

Doubt that happens until they do a full rework for another expansion.

Theyll probs fix it in 3-4 years or so just have some patience

you do realize that the reason optimal talent has shifted from dark shadows in legion to envelope in bfa/sl is because shadow strike no longer hits like a wet noodle?

that still falls under “dps cd window”
