Simulation wise, it is around 300 dps behind Outlaw for me with similar iLvL and leggos. BUT, my outlaw wep is 213 and assassination/sub dagger is 197, so I expect sims to be within 2-3 % in pure single target in my gear for each spec once I upgrade the dagger.

Single target, Assassination is 4700 and outlaw is sitting at 5k for me on raidbots patchwerk sim.

I’m torn between Zoldyck and Dashing Scoundrel. Does the extra energy regen from Dashing help improve the smoothness of the spec?

From what I read on ravenholdt zoldyk is the better option. Dashing is just sim damage on single target. Once you go to more than one target it drops significantly.

I only have zoldyck currently. Dashing doesn’t currently sim higher for me in my gear, and zoldyck pulls away significantly when you add targets.

I can honestly say my training dummy parses went up 8%… working as intended.

After playing with both MA and zoldyck assassination is still trash and can’t eve kill a shaman in wolf form at 10% HP, gg guys see you next patch or until assassination gets better

I don’t get the MA and Zoldyk hype. Their windows of opportunity and benefit are so small.

Try Dashing Scoundrel or Doomblade. DS is great with stacking Mastery and Master Poisoner.

DS, Zoldyk and Doomblade all sim about the same for me. In practice, DS seems to function better. Awesome cleave setup for 2-3 targets.

I’m going to see how Doomblade compares this week in practice.

Is this in arenas? Your ilvl is a little low for assass pvp. Looks like you have decent haste, but Ide try to get that vers up a bit and queue with a disc priest. Honestly the only team you’d probably have to trink opener is double sub rogue - thats pretty normal tho, even Pika and Nahj lose to double subs. I just played with a disc priest, we played against a hpaly and elemental shammy, it took about 7 min, but we got em. Hang your head high man! I honestly think if you were at least 195’ish, you’d see a nice difference in damage.

You think so ? Should I commit and send the gearing ? Like even pika tested on stream and he was having the issue as me peeps aren’t doing

Def think you should give it another try. Work on getting some ilvl, specifically haste/vers. Don’t expect BfA assass, but I can see you doing well with some ilvl and more haste along with a dpriest. I can see in Pika’s bracket, assass isnt what it used to be. But lower brackets, up to 1800’ish it can def be good. Anything beyond 1800 will require a special person. Maybe the next tier or later down the line, assass will be even better higher rank.
