Assassination is very close to being perfect, but it’s struggling with ramp and energy wait time. 3 things Bliz could do right now to fix this, tuning aside:

Garrote, cast from stealth, should cast at max duration. We shouldn’t need to double cast it on pulls. Alternatively take Garrote off GCD.

Implacable, rank 1, should have its additional buffs (stacks 2 - 5) increased by 5% making it cap out at 100% (instead of 80%).

Give us a button to trigger Implacable, rank 1, instead of forcing us to wait for it. Have a buff I can only trigger by doing nothing for 4 - 5 seconds feels terrible, and risks the envenom buff dropping off.

These are more small changes in the right direction, imho. We have bigger problems including but not limited to:
baseline regen being too low
not scaling as well in aoe compared to where we were in TWW thanks to the loss of both carnage and a severe nerf to venomous wounds.
implacable, I’d argue, is less of an issue with needing a 5% buff per level and more about having 5 levels is entirely too many to feel good. 3 tops would be significantly better.
I’d also argue we just got fundamentally shafted compared to Feral’s, design wise. We got our energy gutted and have this pooling concept now, with no real incentive to maximize it other than not getting punished. Feral’s at least got a fun button to reward proper use with Chomp, and yet we had our bonus for managing energy well removed when they took away sanguine blades or whatever it was called. We got the ole’ “introduce the problem so you can sell em the solution,” gimmick. It’s crap.
Tea is still an absolute travesty. It should not be required, and it should also not automatically be used. Then you still have the issue with Deathmark being wonky with target swapping, Deathmark still being easily dispel able and now worse since we don’t get extra energy while bursting.
There’s also the weirdness of Dot Talents like Ruptures 20% extra damage being gated behind Amp poison, which makes no sense.
The last point that irks me is just the overall pressure to build all into an evenom centric spec. I thought the design intention of returning to trees was to give people options. They did a good job in DF and even TWW with providing options for poison and bleed builds both. But now that’s all out the drain with the apex having little to do with bleeds besides a flat damage increase.

Actually would be a huge improvement and Im surprised I hadnt seen it suggested sooner.
It should be deleted alongside Tea. No one asked for this sort of talent. Energy regen should be good without the need for multiple talents to buff it in the tree.

Talents like these only created energy issues that never existed before.
Now we not only have screwed design, but also our former energy talents like Venom. wounds are still bugged without even being mentioned in hotfixes…
