The one that gives you 15% damage and 15% healing… Sould aslo give 15% more damage taken to make it balaced out. If you are marked for death it sould make you a bit eaiser to kill not harder . Espically if you are a coward who only got the buff cause you are in a raid group with 20-40 other people
The point of the assassin buff is to well, be a buff. A reward for destroying enough people and not dying. It’s meant to help them keep their killing spree going, while also letting people know that they’ve been on a murder spree either take your chance or steer clear of them.
If players are smart they will let characters with Assassin Buff keep killing. Eventually they should get Bounty and you’ll get rewards for killing them.
Assassin Buff can be unpredictable. I sometimes get an Assassin buff several times in a day. Sometimes I kill or gank 20-30 players without dying and never get the buff.
The Assassin buff and the Hunted debuff are two different things. Only the latter makes you “marked for death”.
Once you get the Hunted debuff, you usually die in short order. Increased damage taken is not needed, and would just make everyone relog to eliminate the debuff immediately.
Except this only gives them a further advantage over having an advantage since they clearly already killed 10 people. It’s also something you can be in a raid group for.
It’d be nice if people didn’t have an advantage over me before even going into the fight just for A) killing 10 enemy faction(Can be done in a raid) and etc. This is the kind of stuff people are talking about, because a player is literally getting an advantage over them.
So kill 10 players yourself and get the assassin buff? Then you won’t be at a “disadvantage” like you claim. Or, are you not capable of killing 10 players?
I have killed countless people with assassin buff. Let’s not pretend you auto-win just because you have it.
You don’t auto-win for anything, but does it help? Yes. Maybe in arena there should be a buff where the players with higher rating, or on a streak gain increased dmg and healing too?
It is, you’re basically saying it’s not really a noticeable advantage and doesn’t matter. But when placed into the context of rated arena I already knew you would think differently of it.
I earned Gladiator in S1 and S2 in BC, then switched focus to PVE when I raided with Vodka on Mannoroth. Then I quit the game before WOTLK, and returned last year. So no, I haven’t done any arenas since I’ve been back.
Interesting that your account shows no arena achievements though, since you’re implying you’re an accomplished player. I highly doubt anyone 2k + would truly cry about assassin buff though… Perhaps you can post on your “real account” and show us your multiple rank 1s?
Ah, I can’t post on my real account! For reasons I’m not allowed to discuss. But if you earned Gladiator in S1 and S2 they would show in your feats or achievements, as because of how the achievement system works you got achievements from past-completed items. I do have Gladiator experience, though in the seasons I played Gladiator cut-off was about 2500 in 3’s.
The buff, or the debuff? While the Hunted debuff doesn’t immediately come back when you log back in, I’m pretty sure most of the “credit” remains. When I’ve logged off with the Hunted debuff, I’ve usually gotten it back pretty quick when I log back on.
Not true I’m afraid. I didn’t earn Rank 1, but I did earn Gladiator in S1 and S2. I wanted it mainly because the mounts were the fastest in the game (along with Ashes of Alar).
I didn’t do it as wheelchair ret though. I was holy when I did it.
You can see the s1 and s2 Glad mounts in my achievements linked below.
