Assasination rogue stat priority and rotation?

Hi guys I’m trying to learn how to dps with sin spec rogue… I’m wondering should I be stacking haste or crit? What kind of azerite traits? I have rank 3 Infinite stars too and wondering if I should be stacking a specific stat to make it proc more… Also what kind of rotation for Max dps? I really like the play style to sin rogues compared to outlaw and would like to understand the spec more… thank you on advance for any replies I appreciate any feed back!

Wowhead has solid guides on every class and spec, they’ll answer all of the questions you just asked, and a great deal more.

Ravenholt has good guides

Ty guys for the reply!

The guys above really covered it. If you want the super duper tl:dr version, get crit up first, then haste. Azerite traits that are top: shrouded suff, double dose. For just playing the spec without regards to azerite and essences and all… energy management is something you’ll have to get used to. Sin rogues have a big initial burst and then a little more then they start to crap out and you have to learn to time your finishers because you run into low energy problems. Lots of other factors play out here that are covered in the guides above much much better than I could do. Have fun though… I LOVE playing assassin rogue!

I still swear by the Subterfuge/Shrouded Suffocation setup. It’s a way more fun opener, in my opinion, than Master Assassin. I really don’t understand why most the Ravenholdt guides seem to regard it as an inferior option, tbh. Raidbots is showing literally only a 21 DPS difference between my Subterfuge + SS setup versus a Master Assassin setup (both using Toxic Blade, Exsang is still a smidge behind it, though a lot closer than I expected):

And outside of raids, Subterfuge + Shrouded Suffocation + Exsanguinate is hilariously strong in Visions. Garrote Garrote Rupture Mark Rupture Exsang Vendetta. Miniboss is dead and just doesn’t know it yet. Melt most of them in literally ~8s.

Icy Veins says one thing, Method says another thing, Ravenholdt says another thing, which should all tell you the same thing: As long as you’re in the ballpark, it really doesn’t make that much of a difference.

Ya, once the DPS difference drops under about 1%, I very much go with gameplay preference over raw sim output. For alts that don’t raid above LFR or maybe normal PUGs, honestly that band rises more towards 5% or so (I dislike Starlord on my balance druid, for example, so I run Incarnation instead).
