I don’t see anyone talking about this but this is a major nerf to our crowd control by having to choose between either one.
Play as Blood and have both.
It’s really not a major nerf. There is so much stun bloat on DK and the comps it plays anyway. ESPECIALLY frost…
Many threads were calling for a noticable correction to the World of CC-craft. DKs were just the most recent effected. Wouldn’t mind if DKs had both, many specs have both, Ret basically has both with a hard stun and casted Searing Glare. Kinda functions like a short duration aoe silence, except it lets resorces get spent and cooldowns get applied for what is used while affected by Searing Glare. Lots of Classes have lots of ways to make enemies less effective. I havent played DK much over the years, but I’m not opposed to them having tools for success and favorable tuning so I can enjoy playing it. Definitely done getting gripped to the center of a melee ball when I’m tring to Parse in pvp from a safe distance. Might switch to being the griper instead of the gripped.
If I had to chose, I’d take the Silence over the Stun, lots of specs have ways to clear or avoid a stun.
I don’t understand why it just isn’t a choice node in the general tree. A silence in PVE would be huge to not override stun DRs for mythic plus. Feels bad needing 2 talents to have silence in pvp. (pvp talent, plus 1 from general tree).
