Aspect of the Eagle game breaking?

Would it be game-breaking if it was a passive we still lose out on auto attacks but we wouldn’t have to weapon swap to use arcane shot and steady shot those can stay in the spellbook and we wouldn’t have to swap back to melee weapon to us Kill shot it would make weapon swapping a dead meta and bring a better flow to the SV spec main skills.

I think the energy slashes from a melee weapon are really cool it’s part of a lot of Asian high fantasy in Wuxia and id think it is cool if it was a constant part of the class. If you dont know what wuxia it uses magic thru martial arts weapons and not casting spells like Harry Potter or a mage and I don’t think that style of spells should be purely a monk thing and id like to see it expanded into SV hunter playstyle as a magic slinging, bomber, trap laying martial class. So whats people think? We can huge ranged classes in a melee and kite melee specs better? sounds great to me to be honest XD.

Not gonna lie. The idea of permanent eagle sounds awful and terrible.

It’ll either stay a melee (or hybrid) or just be ranged with a proper ranged weapon.

Hmmmmm why? How about arcane shot gets replaced at LVL 10 with a purple slash attack called Arcane Slash has the same damage but can be used at 40yds. SV is mostly ranged and needs a filler spell that doesn’t need weapon swapping.

I like it to stay hybrid you can do a ranged rotation and for it to be good and feel good strong sustain pressure kind of DPS and to go into melee and be able to weave in melee skills into rotation for a hearty burst of DPS a different stronger focus sink then the ranged skills that are significantly more damage at risk of being in melee. I think I’m going to ponder on this and might think of a new forum post. If you have any idea how this can be done better let me know unless your against the idea.

Only thing that would make true survival a survival, is camouflage te be SV exclusive, steel trap to be base line, bleed damage as passive or mastery. And please replace Kill command with flanking strike again. It was much more survival style then this Kill command BS.

Aspect of eagle should stay CD but could use lower CD. There is no point of being melee if you can hit from 20-40 yard range all the time

I was thinking this there isn’t much point if the ranged DPS is as good but I’m thinking it should be more of a sustain DPS rotation that can put on pressure and yea to be like Zoro in one piece kinda lol but maybe as an arcane shot type of skill that a slash of energy and not Aspect of the Eagle. But melee should be a burst in DPS and the optimal and Ranged just be a kiting toolkit when you don’t have the support of a healer. And give SV ranged auto attacks based on the 2h equipped so like throwing axes for 2h axe and throwing spears for a polearm and daggers for a 2h sword and lol maybe rocks or throwing clubs or darts for staffs that can toggle on its own depending on ranged to target…

Idea is not bad, but I can see every player or hunter saying “ why are you converting me to be ranged melee , after turning me down from ranged to melee?”

Mainly cause it makes more sense if you look at current skills there are about 2-3 DPS melee skills that are usable at one time 3rd being flanking strike and the melee utility is wing clip and up to 6 ranged or beast skills that do damage while you’re out of melee it always been a hybrid class since the change never pure melee and people weapon swap currently to use both playstyles. So why not integrate both playstyles I’m trying to think how it can be done how can we make the kiting toolkit feel better without taking away from the melee.
