Asmongold's response about the /spit removal

flagged as SPAM

That wasn’t all he had to say about it. In another longer response he called it protecting the feelings of their whales and said their priorities are out of whack for worrying about this before any of the actual in game issues or other forms of worse harassment.

Why didn’t you include all of the responses not just cherry pick the part that makes it look like this guy cares about and thinks this is a meaningful change at all?

When I get on my knees beforehand, spitting seems to be a pretty positive precursor to the fun about to unfold next.

They took out the emote people were using to make fun of people who buy microtransactions.

but you can still call people the n word.

You can see where their priorities are…

Still waiting on this, by the way.

So in 2021 it’s permissible–and even encouraged–to kill other people, but spitting on them crosses the line.

You can’t make this crap up.

Are you sure you didn’t just make it up?

So is killing someone. So /spit should be allowed on PvP servers then?

You can also gouge players eyes, rupture their organs, stab their kidneys, make them bleed to death…all of which is fine and not toxic. But spitting is not fine and totally toxic. Hmmm

Again, OP is just an entitled millennial that gets offended by everything. Can’t change these kinds of people. Probably got that little sensational “I’m important” tickle down your spine when you read /spit was removed.

Also, how about not twisting Asmon’s words to fit your narrative? Do you work for CNN or something? Good lord…. you could be the next big shot over there with this kind of background/history!

/Spit x5000 @ OP

Is it just when targeting players?

Meaning, theoretically of course, if I approached an NPC. Any NPC. Let’s say Field Marshal Stonebridge, for instance. And, hypothetically speaking, I did /spit. Would it work?

the /spit thing is dumb. Like extra bubblewrap around the forehead dumb. We laughed at this stuff back then, warning labels to be careful when drinking hot items. Now that their primary clients are soft-boiled they need extra hand-holding.

It is.
Dudes a . He says one thing and then does another kek.

Dunno why they’re removing an emote, seems kind of silly, and possibly like they are trying to distract from more important matters going on.

/spit is perfectly acceptable against opposing faction
can still show disrespect via custom emotes / chat to same faction

What does this achieve? stupid.

I can no longer /spit at my fellow horde who mine the node I’ve already been mining. If fellow players want to be toxic by not being cordial to one another, why can’t I at least find comfort in using an emote? /Rude doesn’t have quite the same effect.

Removing an emote is pathetic. Blizzard is completely unrecognizable from what they were 15 years ago. They don’t deserve any of their IPs. Also, Asmongold is a sellout hypocrite who flip flops on issues on a whim if it benefits him. Case in point - him whining about the TBC boost and then proceeding to buy the boost like the monkey he is.

Yeah I was there in that stream. That statement was so loaded with sarcasm it baffles me you thought he was being serious.

I refer to him as “Neko-Chan”

I have that name reserved, deciding whether it should be my mage alt or a rogue alt.
