That’s kind of part of the point, though. Blizzard is a company out to make money. A few carefully worded opinions don’t mean jack if you still buy the product anyway
I think this is valid, though I do understand Inárí’s perspective as well.
Still, when you have somebody as influential as Asmongold saying “Boosts are Bad” then the dude goes and buys one anyway … then hosts a streamed Raid to Molten Core comprised of boosted characters. LOL … I mean, come on. That sort of removes the teeth from your “Boosts are Bad” position. It’s the ultimate example of the textbook bad parent Do-As-I-Say-Not-As-I-Do thing!
That’s all it is. He milked the classic zealots for all he could with his nonsense, he got what he wanted.
Seeing as he’s vehemently against boosts, it just makes him look like a massive hypocrite.
I disagree. It’s a negative for the game overall but once it is implemented you can’t roll it back. Yes, it gives blizzard more money and incentivizes similar actions but I already conceded that that was the only point of your argument I found valid.
The problem is that (in my case) I’m going to play WoW almost regardless of what blizzard does. Asmon is most likely always going to play wow even after the majority of the playerbase, including myself, have quit. Knowing this, the only option is to give feedback and hope they devs listen. If they don’t, I’m not going to artificially handicap myself because they refuse to care about the longevity of their own game. I can’t change that. It’s not a clean argument, I understand that. Though it’s a far more realistic position to actually live up to than an idealistic one attempting to hold principles that the developers won’t even hold themselves to.
Gotta get back to work so I won’t be able to respond as quickly - just a heads up.
old news …
half the posters are confused as hell now, they don’t know if they are still supposed to complain about it anymore.
It’s like Tauren Mill all over again
Lol. Well, when in doubt, I say: complain! It wouldn’t be much of a forum without compaints!
Asmonsimps are worse than Blizzard shills imo.
Nah. Id respect him more if he dropped the ego and just be himself like he does on his other YouTube channel.
Dude is a straight clown
I find it sad that anyone wastes time watching him.
Platinum, Grim, Madseason, Pint and Nixxiom exist.
I too wonder why anyone watched the whiny flip floppy bald man.
when it comes to sticking to an issue, they all seem to band together. Like they don’t want to rock the boat cause they all talk about each other a lot. its like if there is a known issue that one of the more popular ones is against, they will all be against it. Its like watching CNN and the rest of the liberal news media, once the talking point is set for the day, u hear the same phrase on all the channels.
I wish there was One streamer that told it like it is. Would just tell the rest of them to grow up. yeah they love the game, we all do, but its just a damn game and they are all grown ups now. The only streamer that i am aware of that would disagree with the mainstream talking points was Alexsensual. But he just did it to be a jerk. He was a spoiled kid that expected everyone to agree with him. It was pretty funny.
For straight up character, Defcamp is the most “real” personality wise. He goes along with whatever his older brother says though. but as far as good ppl. he is one of them for sure.
I miss Reck…
McConnel you are correct
Not spending money on them is actually doing quite a bit more.
I mean, pedantically, the choice to not spend money is inaction not more, but point taken.
I should have phrased it as “Anyone who is likely to play the game regardless of what blizzard does for the foreseeable future”. Asmon is obviously in that camp and so am I. Not saying that’s a good thing but I’m not gonna lie about it.
No, you’re just an apologist for it.
No, I wasn’t assigning any value to it at all actually. I was explaining my position which I believe to be realistic. I didn’t attempt to claim it to be positive or negative, just realistic.
