Well, not saying that some people won’t quit, clearly this expansion is a mess and each time Blizzard makes a new announcement I feel more stressed out about the whole Shadowlands situation than excited, I’m saying Asmongold specifically won’t quit.
Most of us play lots of other games, Zack doesn’t, he says so himself and in case you don’t believe him, his skills in other games or rather, lack of, are quite showing, he lives and breaths WoW so to speak, besides, he is the kind of player that makes his own content, he is a completionist after all, Shadowlands being bad will give him about the same experience he had in BFA, 80% of the time farming old content.
I think he’s going to keep playing shadowlands because it’s content for his stream.
He’s already “quit” before in bfa. I can understand why he’s frustrated, but a game is a game. I think he’s taking it too seriously, but that’s my own personal opinion.
Everyone knows Shadowlands is going to be Wrath 2.0 so anyone that says they are quitting or even the people that got a refund will buy the expansion when it releases.
I don’t think he’s being dishonest. I think he truly believes what he is saying right now.
He just seems bummed, and we all get why. I think he’ll get over it and end up playing SL when it drops much like the rest of us… and… people will watch as usual.
To be honest we can’t blame him, Blizz keeps making unpopular decisions that make the game less fun to play. I came back of a 10 years hiatus, I didnt play Mop, wod nor legion. Today I hit the bottom even tho this does not affect me because I dont even have a single legion legendary for example.
But things like that highlight their design philosophy is not so much about fun anymore.
He’s not going to quit but it’s really sad to see him so bummed out about SL. There was so much hype for the expansion but there are still glaring issues that have been pointed out by content creators, top end players and even average players to casuals that Blizzard continues to ignore.
He feels trapped because his entire stream has been surrounded around WoW. He has been looking at other MMOs though recently. It’s almost like he’s trying to find a way out because Blizzard aren’t the bread winners anymore.
