I use Mr Robot and love it… Do the yearly plan which I paid $12 a year for and you get best in bags, worst in bags etc… Highly recommend it… Its better than the other stuff mythic plus players use…

Or you can use raidbots, which is more accurate and free.

I use it too and I absolutely love it.

My question is how do I set it up for PvP? I use it for both M+ & Raids

Do they do HPS? Thought Raidbots just did DPS?

Ah, I read that as ret instead of holy, my bad haha.

I’m from Ask Mr. Robot. While we don’t have presets for PvP, we do have a feature that might help, and one coming soon that gives you even more flexibility.

Try this:

  1. Run Best in Bags.
  2. Above the BiB results, you’ll see a ‘customize’ tab. Click that and you can customize options.
  3. If you want save different setups (especially if you are customizing them), make a new setup for each spec on the left side of Best in Bags. Look for where your specs are listed on the left, and you can create new ones. (here’s a blog post with pictures that explains it better: blog.askmrrobot . com/best-in-bags-multisets/ – remove the space before .com to get the link to work)

Coming up: we have more customization options that will let you get more specific with stats and other rule sets. That should be ready sometime in August.

Sorry I posted on an old character (my original classic one at that!). This is the normal ‘me.’

First of all AskMrRobot is a giant meme, don’t use it. Second of all, simulations don’t exist for healers. Lastly, You cannot sim for PvP it makes no sense there’s way too many variables.

Here’s my recommendation: go to the Paladin Discord and ask questions or search for questions. Check the Icy Veins and wowhead pvp guides for Holy and watch streamers who play holy paladin.

As someone who played holy in arena (and quit the spec). One of the things I’ll tell you off the bat is to make sure your have the 3x Glimmer/Indomitable justice build. Holy paladins can excel very well but if you don’t fake cast like a god you’ll find yourself losing every single game, it’s very easy to get one interrupt on you and for you to find yourself instantly locked down.

What do you recommend to use for SIMs

I’m not sure what you’re asking here, are you asking if you can use AskMrRobot for Pvp or just in general?

Edit : sorry for being kinda dumb lol

Ask Mr. Robot has a historically inaccurate API compared to raidbots…

Raidbots 100%

Secondly,

in general really.

In regards to Hpally I’m a 2.1 EXP pally in arenas, 2s mostly but I’ve gotten 2k in 3s also. By no means am I anyone who thinks they’re good. In fact I think I’m very bottom tier pally by a lot, but as far as PvP goes if you really want to learn PvP on hpal I can always give you some tips I know if you want my discord .

Apparently Raidbots does not support Holy Paladins? So do I still use AskMrRobot?

Raidbots doesnt support healing sims because…well…healing sims dont work.

First of all, you have to factor in overhealing. How do you sim for that?

How do you sim for portions of a fight where damage intake is low, and you are conserving mana?

If you are looking for healing stat weights, your best bet is to just copy what someone is doing at the super high end.

If the best PvE hpal from a top raid guild is stacking crit, thats probably best for a raid environment.

If you are looking at M+, see if the stats change, or azerite traits. They might be cheating and using DPS traits and or trinkets, and maybe have shifted stat weights to better heal 5 targets instead of 20.

Research your class, understand WHY certain stats are valued differently and WHY they might shift depending on the content you are doing.

Plugging a number into mrrobot as a healer is just asking to get bad info.

I see a few questions about how we are able to sim healers. I have a blog post that might interest you. Simming healing is not as easy or as ‘clear cut’ as DPS, but it can be done to get useful information. If you want to play with the assumptions on the simulator, let me know and I can help you. Hit me up on the Ask Mr. Robot forums, or reply here and I should see it.

Remember when Ask Mr Robot would suggest that you be just below hit cap for tanks because another stat was better? I remember…
