Yep, intended by design. Fully agree that this is a solid factor in its popularity.
But you’ll get dogpiled for having the common sense to see this, by people who are unable to connect this concept to a real time locked scenario.
But I digress. It should be permanent, and worked on to become a large feature. Its fun as a standalone challenge feature.

They probably wanna play therapist and tell us it’s for our own good or better yet; people will just try mage tower instead of zereth mortis once 9.2 rolls along
