15,000+ kills in. no drops. none from mobs or rares. I swear it must be bugged.
I just got one a few days ago. It was months after the last one i got. Im not actively farming for them though.

And I swear, no mount in this game is worth sitting there killing fifteen thousand things without getting one item, not even getting the mount itself!

I got 2 yesterday on different characters.
I got a random drop on an alt the other day, which I found odd since I already did the grind for the mount last year. In total I have 3 sitting in my warbank after getting the mount.
If I could give them away to people doing the grind I would.
Just one yesterday from that Murloc rare.
I have 22 level 80s, done the Seisbarg mount farm, twice. Done every quest at least twice, in all zones, and I currently have zero shards.

They still drop. Got #9 off of something I don’t remember and then #10 a very short time later off a rare in the cinderbee area. This happened a little over a week ago 
Blizzard should let players who already have the mount sell extra crackling shards on the AH, just saying.
Also would be nice if the drop rate was increased for those who still need the mount.

would be a good idea i have 20 and would sell each one for 1m gold, i farmed during early access when drop rate was dropping like hot cakes because of all the groups farming stuff, not many groups are forming anymore to farm bees or quest items for the quest mount and stuff anymore so farming in groups is a lot harder to do now

I’ve got one or two at the start of the expansion and haven’t seen another one to this day.
even worse now with hardly any groups farming anymore. Early access and launch week and few weeks after groups where formed like crazy

I think the drop rate just plain blows. I’ve gotten exactly 1 shard since the expansion started, and that was at the very beginning of it. Since then I haven’t see a single one.

I don’t actively grind for them but I do cheer when one pops up for me. Been playing since early access and only have 6 so far. Hoping I get 10 by the end of the xpac because coming back to target farm these will suuuuuuck.
Just go bee/wolf farm, I got mine quite fast.
Infact I have 2 extra in my bag from random mobs.
