Ashvane's Razor Coral Stacks

I just got this trinket last night, and I was wondering how many stacks should I go for before reactivating it. Is this something you should use on CD or should I wait longer?

Skyhold has a very good rule for it. If you have inkpod, save it for inkpod to ensure it crits.

If you do not, or if the fight lasts a while after inkpod blows up, use it with your essence.

So it’s a more long term use and not on CD? Thanks Drez!

I don’t have inkpod so this is my method of using it. On pull, my opener is popping ashvane’s first, then reck->charge->SB->BT. Once reck comes up that 2nd time, I consume my ashvane stacks to synergize with reck. I don’t have rank 3 condensed life force yet otherwise I’d be waiting to use the coral stacks with that essence…so for right now, I just use it with reck. Also you need to ensure you’re reapplying the coral debuff as soon as the trinket is available again. The quicker you do it, the better.

I myself just found out there’s still quite a few things I’m doing wrong from the warrior discord looking at my logs. Delaying sometimes for too long on reapplying ashvane’s was one of them.

Use it during your damage windows mostly. Around 50% boss health i wait until inkpod. Seems suboptimal to save all your stacks for the entire fight until inkpod. When your inkpod crits its gonna be huge either way.

I was thinking about that. I dont have it yet, but I would say for anyone that has it needs to analyze how fast they can build stacks and know approximately how much crit you get from, say, 10 stacks so you can judge how you want to use it throughout a fight.

Yeah it seems like a really complicated thing to sim out. Finding out if the gains of saving all your stacks until inkpod are better than what you could be getting from consistently using it during recklessness or siegebreaker. Highest ive made mine do it something are 1.21 mil for the inkpod proc.

It is a complicated thing to sim. Archi did sim it. You’ll find some better discussions on warrior discord, but the summation is, saving for dribbling is better, but not by like…earth shattering amounts.

If you don’t have inkpod, if you run a quicksim you can get a “sample log” for this. Mine for example popped it 3 mins into a fight at 22 stacks. It probably isn’t the perfect way to use it but its there as a place to start.

Wow. Mine only sta ks upto like 15-16 by 3 mins…

Are you talking about your rogue? Because that makes sense.
