My cloak is level 14, I have the final Voidborn Core from Wrathion’s quest, but when I try to upgrade it I get the error message, “This item cannot be modified”.

The GMs I spoke with were unable to do anything and said to report as a bug. There is a similar thread here from 2021, but none of the fixes listed there worked for me. (No add-ons, restart game, be in BfA area/Horrific Vision) Also, it appears others are having this item become purple when it does upgrade since the Season 3 patch and my issue started then as well.

Just ran into the “Mythic” bug this evening where I upgraded the cloak using the Voidborne Core, and instead of changing to Rank 14 it turned into a Mythic cloak with no Sanity resistance, making it impossible to complete BFA Horrific Visions.

Players should avoid upgrading the cloak past Rank 13 until Blizzard fixes this, otherwise your cloak becomes useless.
