Ashjra'kamas Shroud of Resolve missing in game

Hello, a few days ago I submitted a ticket regarding my Ashjra’kamas Shroud of Resolve not being in my bank or inventory. After a few days of back and forth with a GM, they confirmed that this is not working as intended and asked that I submit a bug report here. I will add the conversation from the gm to this post. I look forward to this being fixed as it makes some parts of older content inaccessible.

From what I can gather, it seems you’ve been missing the Ashjra’kamas, Shroud of Resolve from your inventory.

After taking a look at some information regarding this issue, I would like to let you know that we’ve received some reports about this and it looks like this may not be working as intended. This being said, while we would love to help you out on this one, there’s still not hotfix or resolution we can provide you at the moment and as such we will not be able to assist even though I’ve verified that the necessary quests have been completed.

As a player myself, I understand the frustration when seeking assistance and not being provided a fix for the issue at hands and I could not be more in line with you there. However, Costumer Support does not have the same access to in-game tools as our developer’s team, meaning that while we can assist on some issues, there are others that need to be investigated and fixed by them as they may have further implications and consequences on the game that only that team can fix.

Therefore, we kindly ask you to submit a Bug Report either through the in-game option or through our Forums so that our developers’ team may take a look at it and investigate further. how did you manage that lol i couldn’t even destroy it the last time i tried

That’s precisely the issue, I didn’t. My guess is that when I applied the character item upgrade from character select that was offered as a catch-up mechanic prior to TWW it disappeared it from my game.

I have the same issue. Customer support told me to leave my error report here. Hopping for a prompt reply.

Mine is missing, as well.

Then go rebuy it.

When I check to see that I completed the quest that rewards the cloak, the answer is “true.” (as well as quests beyond that…) This vendor, however, does not have the cloak for me.

Sounds like your cloak isn’t actually missing, just lost.

Lost or missing, it’s not in my inventory… on either of my characters who got it, nor is it available from the Stormwind vendor who is supposed to let you get another one.

If it’s not on the vendor, it’s not missing. Check your void storage.

Good thought, but you can’t deposit Unique items in Void Storage. (“Unique-equipped” items, yes, not truly “Unique” ones.)

This may ne one of those things where no self-help options will work, and the GMs can’t help either until the bug report gets into a developer’s hands.

There was a point in time where it wasn’t unique

Huh. Which means it could be there, if it were deposited before the change.
