Its graphically intensive meaning good pcs are required and its overly complicated.
It just does not look fun to play
Besides, its a different style of gameplay to wow so even if by some miracle people liked it, it shouldnt take away from wows audience
Since people are hyping Ashes of Creation on the wow forums so much I will take a particular pleasure in it’s failure and death

Gameplay/mechanics not withstanding, I hate the art. Like every other game trying to look too real.

I wonder how many times this phrase has been uttered whenever a new MMO comes out.
“Wow, a real MMORPG! screw you WoW!” then they go play it and then they are like “…Ehh, it’s okay…little underwhelming… actually it’s not as good as a hyped it up to be. Oh well, back to WoW”, then a cycle begins a anew. 
Can we change the term “WoW Killer” to “MMO Killer”? Because honestly, that’s the more realistic term here, like everytime you call an MMO a wow killer, it kills the mmo your praising instead with overhype.
Because apparently WoW has become DOOM, it become Far Cry, It become CoD and Destiny, it became Fallout, it became Bioshock.
Why? Because Ree. 
It would look even better if it has actual single-player mode tbh. I would imagine something like old colonial times be awesome to explore in Single-player (and i mean actual Single-player), not so much in multiplayer.

Why do people like OP play the game, or even bother with pointless threads like this. The only people that will kill WoW, will be Blizz itself. And not to mention people like OP that make up a fair amount of players in-game that ruin the experience for people like me with their attitude problems.
