its not a casual game. its very risk vs reward mind set.
its progression oriented (no end game)
no flying *except for ~10 people on a server, maybe, if they have the temporary flying mounts, obtained through very limited means.
not balanced around 1v1 or 5v5. its 8v8 balancing min. so you will always be at a disadvantage but have an advantage over someone else.
very time consuming to reach max level. est 2+ months of just working towards that. and could end up being longer. think Artifact weapon leveling but as player leveling with that near unobtainable max level ring.
(over exaggeration but kind of same idea. still in Alpha, things might change slightly. Slightly, as the vision is solid)
if you kill low lvl players, or even players who do not fight back you could end up loosing your equipped gear (through the bounty system. and after killing several players not flagged)
raw farming mats and legendary regents can be stolen through the castle sieges mechanics.
expected to take hours to get from one end of map to other on foot. again no flying for most people.
most content, even dungeons are open world. so a pvp group could steal the last boss from you.
I hope it is. I constantly hope the next big game can kill WoW not because I do not like WoW but because that would mean it is just THAT GOOD. That said, AoC will not kill WoW. Their focuses are completely different. It will not take away the majority of the WoW players no matter how good it is (majority of the PvP players is a different story though).
Wait, is this like the 10th or 12th WoW killer that has come and gone? I lost count, there have been so many that have failed at it. WoW will be killed by either age or it’s own hands.
