I went back to Wrath for a while because I hated the Free for All STV event. Many of us came to Classic because we want Faction Based pvp not the Free for All crap that has ruined Retail. Ashenvale was far from perfect but it was way more fun than the STV lag fest. Blizzard is not listening as well as they claim.

Disappointing how STV gets a new update with new items but ashenvale gets nada.

there is actually no way to tell if people actually enjoyed either event… as most were doing it for rep grinds or gear… there is no metric on how many are doing them for fun.
they should at the very least update the generals to more hps, they die so fast now, if you are walking from 1 to another mini - the event is over before you can tag 2 minis
I think the last event i did on my level 35 mage stuff died within 1 minute and 18 seconds (yes all 3 minis and the general) we had groups at each node

STV has actual pvp. Ashenvale became Retail AV. Just run to boss, kill boss, over. Yeah 1 in every 10 one team would instead defend a point but it was mostly PVE. STV is pure pvp. Better event and fits the Openworld theme better. We get Classic AV eventually anyways so Ashenvale becomes double irrelevant and just a rep farm area.
Ashenvale is also just so much running with bad respawn points.
You think a group of mages terrain exploiting around the altar and meat-grinding everyone on spawn is actual PVP?? Or the overpowered classes running around globalling people on spawn? O-o

Once drums were obsolete nobody went back to ashenvale pvp after exalted. Blood moon however, i’m literally deleting coins at this stage because its actually fun with the boys
