Has anyone seen any official word on whether the Ashenvale event will continue to run after 2/7? I can’t find anything, but I also know a lot of scuttlebutt happens on Twitter and I’m not there.
I’m leveling up a last-minute alt and trying to work out whether this next week is my last chance for the rep or not.
I’d wager since they made it tick up on its own a few weeks ago would suggest it’ll keep running and trigger on its own. I believe, without player involvement, it was slated to be somewhere, at the most, every 6 hours.
We don’t know to be honest.

unless they allow us to grind to exalted, i think most of us (7 of my alts are already revered) will just login once a week, kill 1 peon mob, loot the drum/mark/scroll thing for the 1 time a week quest turn in.
This is a good point. If anything from phase 1 is going away I would think either they’d have warned us by now, or will issue a warning in the next few days, to give people at least a week to do whatever they have left to do.
But then I wonder if raising the turn-in rep to 1000 was that warning.
Of course it will run. Theyve never stopped events like that.
I am hoping Ashenvale scales up to 40.
My biggest complaint about p1 is there just isn’t enough content for 3+ months… especially for a one character player, such as myself.
Having Ashenvale scale up to 40 as a second pvp zone would make sense. The servers are populated enough. Just adds more things to do. People still will want WSG rep.
Also really wish they would give info about STV event… I don’t care about ANY runes info honestly. Let all of that be a surprise… but I would like to know how STV works… Frustrating we know nothing about this event.
I don’t know, people on my server seem to have their rep already and aren’t really doing it anymore, which is why it’ll be hard for me to grind it out in a week with just the turn-in and the 200 participation trophy. If it keeps running I can at least get there eventually though.
I’d be surprised if they closed it down and returned Ashenvale to its former self, because obviously people will still level alts throughout the season. But they’ve done surprising things before, and they could always point at WSG and say well you already have a path to that rep.
Perhaps, but It does seem a little unfair to people who started in phase 2, or people who made alts late in phase 1.
WSG rep through Ashenvale event is orders of magnitude faster than grinding WSG. It sucks for people to lose access to this in phase 2.
It would definitely suck, and I wasn’t trying to be alarmist with the post. Presumably it won’t happen! I was just checking to see if anyone had any confirmation.
It will definitely continue. I imagine that will still time out after 30min and award a win to the faction that progressed the furthest.

Oh yeah… this game is going to start exploding with fun in the next phase.
For anyone interested in this topic who hasn’t had time to watch the presentation yet, it looks like they’re keeping the event running as-is except for a 3-hour timer.
