I love world PvP. I’m all about it, but this event is taking what is usually a pretty fun area to quest in / have organic world pvp and has turned it into an absolutely laggy nightmare where you’re more likely to get rolled by an army that phases on top of you than you are to encounter a single player also questing. Please don’t do this to STV.
This event has completely ruined this entire zone.
I think Ashenvale should be a war zone in SoD, but should NOT force players into PvP. In fact, I think war zones should move or rotate to other areas. This way when the battle at ashenvale is over it moves to a new area allowing players to complete some quests in that once war zone area. But you have limited time before the battle picks back up again.
It’s a contested zone, it should absolutely be a dangerous place. This should be where guilds clash in front of BFD/quest areas turn into small skirmishes. Small scale world PvP is really fun.
But this isn’t organic, and it’s not even playable. Ashenvale is usually one of my favorite zones. That was really disappointing.
I hope they just leave STV alone and don’t add any events to that area.
