So, tell me how layering ashenvale is a good idea? We got it down to 1/1, horde leading, and it pushes us into a layer of 3/0, what is the actual point? You’re not only wasting our time, our energy, and our money. At this point, why the hell do we even give you money? Game isn’t balanced, it’s level 25, fine, w/e just means certain classes just feel like crap until Feb, but bugs like this? Imagine doing AV in vanilla, get it to the wire, only to get reset just for opposing faction to have a clear lead with all bunkers up, this is not acceptable.
yes, i just posted as well and i think you were in my group. fat waste of time and effort
It just doesn’t make any logical sense, why blizzard thinks this is acceptable. This is the product they wish us to experience, this is how they show care/love to their audience.
It seems like they snuck in some extra nerfs over the past couple days as well, unless I missed some patch notes.
- All guards no longer give rep past revered
- Killing enemy players can result in “Estimated Honor Points: 0.”
It’s like they designed Ashenvale to never be touched again. I can’t think of any battlegrounds or zones with pvp objectives which don’t give honor and rep in the history of all of WoW.
The ashenvale event is the best pvp event they have had in over 20 years
Game itself isn’t even 20 years old, and Ashenvale is extremely broken. Like, construction wise. Here are three anecdotal examples, I’m sure there are a huge number of similar experiences.
I was in a competitive Ashenvale raid, got phased with several others in the raid while actively hitting the last boss before Moonwell. Luckily the new phase killed the boss and had the same progress. On the way to Moonwell, got phased AGAIN into one that had just ended and was 0/0% so I didn’t get the incoming loss rep.
A couple events later, I was in a layer that lost. Somehow I got phased into a winning one, got to Moonwell, that layer succeeded and I got no credit for the boss or the win. Maybe that rep’s not ‘deserved’, but at least warn me it’s pointless to participate.
Just did an Ashenvale, and the boss spawned without warning at about 86%. We were summoning people and got clobbered by spontaneous elites.
There are sizable design flaws too, but from simply a craftsmanship perspective it is not well made. ‘Jank’ comes to mind.
The layering exploits really break immersion. It’s really a turn off seeing people ask for layer invites.
Not to mention, you had a cohort of people who got to rep farm super easy for about a month, meanwhile the rest of us have to work with this version of the zone.
The funny bit is didn’t they make it so only so many could fit into Silithus during the Invasion portion?
So they have a means to put a limiter in place to prevent more players from entering a zone; thus causing a new Layer to be created.
…additionally, surely there’s a way to code in that layers will not be ‘decommissioned’ (as is what happened here) if an active event is on going.
I don’t think that’s as much of an issue as random relayering. However, it might be the same issue since an influx of new players into a layer is likely what causes people to be kicked out.
Speaking of layer issues…
Every time I ask for crafter services in Orgrimmar, the crafter is always in a different layer. Party invite, and we both are standing next to eachother, yet unable to interact. It takes some messing around to get on the same layer.
Oh look its raid/dungeon time. Lets summon a player. OOPS, party members different layers than the lock, we can’t click the portal.
Fix. This. Garbage.
Yea the layering is really annoying, its happening very often during the event, next problem is since people who already got revered there no point for them to the event so the player pool getting smaller, (that why the frequent layering).
They need to implant so sort of daily quest for this event to give gold to entice player to continue doing it. Right now not much to do other the raid, and waiting on phase 2.
It’s funny how personal some folks take this game…
as of Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at 9:56 AM EST, World of Warcraft is 19 years, 2 months, 19 days, and 6 hours 56 minutes old.
Dude. Stop with the ridiculous semantics. YOU know what the person meant! People like you are SO ANNOYING!
“It’s not exactly 20 years old… herp a derp!”
19 years and 2 months ain’t 20 years bud
week 2 ends tomorrow but yeah farming for a month…good math
What I can say is that you’re annoying as well!
They said 20 for simplification. You know it. I know it. You’re just “special”.
The layering is annoying, and I am sure if there is a solution that is viable it will be looked at, but I doubt anything will be changed prior to the next PVP event.
Ouch, yeah. Thats a bit of an oversight on Blizzards part.
The rest of the single sentence post was claiming that Ashenvale is the best pvp event Blizz has ever made in the entire game’s history.
You’re caught up on the ‘semantics’ of a EY BUDDY 10 more months and it’s 20 years! I know what he meant, and both things are wrong. Dude could be a troll, now you’re calling people ‘special’ over it. You even looked up the exact time since release down to the minute, and completely missed/ignored the entire point of the reply.
You seem really determined to be angry which to me is annoying, but you do you king.
