Ashenvale Fragment bugged - denying Scarab Lord quest completion

Please mention if you’ve experienced this issue and/or if the Ashenvale fragment dropped for you in the last 20 hours.

In the last day, the fragment that drops from Ashenvale is not dropping on multiple servers and for multiple guilds. While the droprate is low, the same guilds have been clearing dragonkin on cooldown for over 24 hours in some cases. Time is running out because reset is coming up and the gong will be rung soon. A link to the bug report is blow.

ASHENVALE FRAGMENT (SCARAB LORD QUEST CHAIN) DROP/SPAWN RATE CONFIRMATION

Yes, this is happening to us. We finished carapaces Saturday around 4PM ST, and are just chilling here fighting the biggest guild for spawns.

How long has the big guild been on the Ashenvale fragment?

Their first was ~16 hours. Their second has been here for roughly 10? After he finishes, their third will be in.

The 16 hour fragment was while they had competition? How much tho? Lots of guilds don’t have competition and it hasn’t dropped.

Server first took 16 hours, 2nd took 24 hours, 3rd took 27 hours. 2nd and 3rd were fighting for tags for the entire 24 hour time. Right now there are 5 guilds at 3 am fighting for tags and its been 8 hours since the previous shard has dropped.

This thing is definitely bugged, its about 500 kills a drop while Hinterlands and Feralas were closer to 100-150.

The Hinterlands and Feralas are 100-150 kills per raid while Ashenvale is 500 per server?

At 10 hours I feel like we’ve killed more than 500

abusing the system where you can eh?

Same here. There is no layer. multiple guilds tag war for the mobs. Cant believe how it designed. Guilds are working so hard to eventually reach this step and this makes everyone desperate… Please fix it

exactly. all guilds right now stuck at this step if this quest was intended to fail everyone on the last setp.

I don’t know why Blizzard can’t just comment a “working as intended” or “we’re looking into it” considering every single person is on a 1-2 day deadline to complete the entire chain before all of their work becomes worthless. Like, you have hundreds if not thousands of players all dumping 10+ hours a day farming for the nightmare fragments, and it seems the abysmal or broken drop rate of this single quest is going to prevent dozens of Scarab Lords from finishing their chains. Really? A low drop rate quest item literally barring people from completing the chain that has consumed thousands of player-hours over the course of a week? How is this acceptable? This is not authentic, or “Vanilla”. SAY SOMETHING NOW.

I love this

This is comical.

The questline was designed for one person per server to complete, not forty.

Our guild got ahsenvale around midnight yesterday

This is awesome

Streamers get their fragments in 13 minutes or less.

The drop rate for the fragments is definitely <1%.

our SL got it on the 4th pack

I don’t normally chat in forums, but this happened to our guild last night/this morning. If any of you are on Pagle, you know how hard it is to be a horde already. Our guild grinded out all of the quests and chains and everything until we got blocked by this part of the quest. We spent 15 hours on and off in the area farming the adds to no avail, the last 7 hours we just stayed in the area as we became quest locked behind this drop. Several alliance guilds banded together to help us out rallying people at the insane hours of the morning to help kill the Moonglade boss as soon as the item would drop. We continued to farm until all hope was lost with no drops ever happening. Many of our players played themselves until they fell asleep at their keyboards and just were running into walls. The fight was real and though we understand the way RNG works, many of us feel that there is something else at play here. In the morning after the 10 hrs were up from the gong, Pagle was still in the war and required a server reset to solve the problem, I’m not sure this could be linked to the drop being bugged, but I can’t rule it out either. We have taking our complaints to in-game tickets only to get the standard we’re not responsible replies. I have a doubt that the in-game ticket system will solve anything or even give a more detailed response, but maybe they will read this and look a little more into a reply that isn’t a copy and paste response.
