Was fun to do the event when I first started doing it and it seemed a bit more even with Lieutenants going down close to the same times as the opposing faction. But now, they are stacking layers to have a crazy amount of people on each Lt and killing all 3 nearly simultaneously. There is no pvp in the event, just run to each, kill and move on.
Something needs to be done to not allow layer stacking so we can have even numbers of each faction in the area for the event. Also, would make it more interesting if each Lt. would get a huge buff if any of the other ones are being attacked. Basically first one to get attacked stays normal hp/damage while the other two get buffed similarly to what the General is like. Then when the first Lt dies, the buff goes away and now the next Lt that gets hit first isnāt buffed but the last one is. This type of mechanic would make it pointless for the most part to stack layers as only one Lt can be downed at a time.
We had a wild game on Lone Wolf around 2:30/3:00. Lots of back and forth, wiping opposing raids prior to start, then a clash between cata and glaive bosses and raid groups. Came down to the wire for the win.
You are all responsible for how you play. If you sit and wait, it will be boring. If you engage until it starts, you can make it fun.
All you are doing is slowing down the zerg. As much as I dislike layering, I understand why it is necessary. The simple truth of the matter is that WPvP and layering just donāt work together.
Ashenvale is beyond saving. It will never be anything other than a PvE race. And the sad truth of the matter is that we are unlikely to see any good āWPvPā in SoD. Mostly because of layering, but also because vanilla wow wasnāt a a pvp game.
They need to make these events like two opposing bosses that each faction must escort to the other side of the map. Lots of sabotage and direct pvp on the way.
That would be fun⦠but both starting from relatively the same location and they slow down if too many of the opposing faction are near it or damaging it. Goal is to get your General to the āfinish lineā before the other General. If they die, you have to wait for a respawn timer but no loss of progress towards end goal.
Yeah, judging by the fixes, and then revert. Blizz wants to keep the servers running. And if we just claim a layer, we get the cake and eat it too.
Just now itās not as sweet.
Need to make the bosses not kiteable and fix the mass roots problem. Almost every event, ally have been kiting the LM bosses across the river towards cata. Itās poorly designed.
I havenāt seen that either. Pretty much its just a run to each mini and then kill main boss. Most recent one though Iām not sure if it was a bug/exploit or just pure numbers. All 3 Ltās were downed at the exact same time. Went from 3/3 to 0/3 with only 1 message about an Lt being defeated. It was weird.
Iāve won every Ashenvale Iāve been in, and it seems Horde are ahead on kills slightly (~6%) in the entire zone, based on the video Blizzard put on talking about SoD stats.
Iām curious, because Alliance are saying theyāre winning all the time, so maybe itās server-based.
Iām on Living Flame, and we win all the time when Iām there.
Alliance are trying to change their strategy, they tried to wipe us and sent two raid groups to Glaive, we just pulled Larodar into the Horde camp and killed him safely surrounded by Horde NPCs, repelling the Alliance.
I love the world PvP stuff a ton, this is what Warcraft is ultimately about.
I agree with you and I find it shameful. They could have made incredible battles but decided to cheap on servers and avoid WPvP to reduce the lag caused by their dollarstore servers.
