Ashbringer returns uncorrupted

Suggestion on the corrupted Ashbringer. Could the ability ‘divine intervention’ purify the Corrupted Ashbringer ?
Just saying that’s how it was purified in lore in a way. Would be cool to have an ‘uncorrupted’ version

Side note: this could work both ways so say I have the corrupted Ashbringer and I divine intervention as a Paladin my healer, it purifies the Ashbringer to its holy form… and on the flip side say my warrior friend has it and I divine intervention him and it purifies his Corrupted Ashbringer … that way it’s not just a Paladin item but takes a Paladin to purify it

Staying in the scope of what the Ashbringer is and how it became corrupted, you’re suggesting some rando-pleb is just going to willy nilly cleanse it with a simple ability? >_>;;

Uncorrupt the ashbringer but lose the ability cast divine intervention as long as you own it

Nah big boy quest time.

Better idea would be to implement the scrapped questline, maybe retool it a bit to either not send us to outland, or maybe finish the vanilla version of hellfire penninsula. Either way its not something to worry about for another 6-8 months, but might as well get the idea out there.

Vanilla versions of outland and northrend taht they use as playgrounds for new ideas and like elite lvl 60 zones would be kind of cool especially if they arent just scaled down versions of tbc and wotlk

Yeah this seems to be a little too ‘legion where everyone gets an Ashbringer because everyone is a god now!’

It’s kind of cool in theory but
I’d rather they just spawn zones on the two continents tbh. So much possibility to just keep adding on.

Ashbringer should be a fishing reward

The Ashbringer was corrupted by killing a Paladin with it, and it was cleaned by a Paladin sacrificing himself on it… so no, it’s not a Willy nilly concept it’s litterally lore
But perhaps I’m wrong and there’s an epic quest chain to purify it… either way a purified Ashbringer is the goal

That is not how the Ashbringer was cleansed. I hope you’re not talking about the garbo Legion knock off. I’m talking about the one Alexandros Mograine wielded, was stabbed by his son with and the corrupted one carried by Darion Mograine up until the lights hope chapel event where Tirion was able to purify it when Darion defied the Lich King.

You know what’s not in that description at all? Pleb adventurers. All of those people mentioned are renown, powerful individuals. So, no, a normal Paladin is not capable of cleansing the Ashbringer.

It would be like saying random priest was capable of reversing Illidans demonic corruption or a rando shaman was capable of standing in for the Earth Aspect and wield the Dragon Soul. >_>;;;

It would most certainly have to be a long epic quest for the player to do.

Outland isn’t a continent, it’s a completely different planet.

TBC and Wrath zones are a horrible idea.
