I remember when players were having a hard time inviting other players into groups/raids because they couldn’t spell their name due to the special characters being used in names.
Is this still an issue or has it become easier to deal with seeing as Blizz is using better tech this time around?
I would think as long as the group / raid leader was the one advertising and the player sent them a PM response, you could invite from chat.
All I remember is a lot of players back in the day were asking GM’s for a name change because no one could spell their names.
I guess 1 scenario would go something like this:
Player A knows a friend, Player B (who has special characters in their name), and wants to get them into their group. The group leader has a name using special characters and unable to type it out in a PM to player B so they can PM the group leader to ask for invite.
Group leader does not want to give up leader roll to anyone else for #reasons. This might be a frustrating situation to deal with.
