< Ascent > is now recruiting all North American Alliance players with inordinate amounts of free time to dedicate to Classic WoW. We are seeking players who strive to be on the cutting edge of both PvE and PvP, and plan to no-life classic to the fullest. This guild aims to provide a highly structured environment for hardcore players to thrive based on the time and effort they dedicate.
What our players can expect from < Ascent >:
- A serious raiding environment with aims of server firsts and split farming
- Optimization of group composition and loot distribution
- A well-delegated loot council focused on group optimization
- All consumables and repairs will be provided by the guild
- Organized group rotations for PvP ranks
- A community of like minded players with the aim of server domination in Classic WoW
What we expect from our players:
- massive amounts of free time to throw at Classic WoW (no less than 16 hours per day the first few weeks, and no less than 40 hours per week moving forward)
- 100% raid attendance during server first pushes, and near 100% attendance in general (clearly communicated, well-reasoned absences will be considered on a case by case basis; no-shows will never be tolerated under any circumstances)
- contribution to guild consumables (in order to have communist-style repairs and consumables, players will be strongly encouraged to participate in contribution to guild funds in various ways)
- Engineering must be maxed and utilized by all main raiders
- Players must have 2 raid-ready alts for weekly split runs by the end of phase 2
- Players must also have a level 20+ warlock alt to assist in quick summoning
Our plan for each phase of Classic is as follows (all times are Pacific Time, and are subject to change based on the situations surrounding Classic Launch):
Phase 1

August 29 (11:59 p.m.) - Players will be expected to hit level 30 no later than this point

September 1 (11:59 p.m.) - Players will be expected to be level 40

September 4 (11:59 p.m.) - Players will be expected to be level 50 at this point

September 7 (6:00 p.m.) - 1st Scheduled raid: Molten Core; goal is server first, if we can get in sooner, we will (players must be level 60 and prepared to push for server first raids at this point)

We will begin keying all players for Onyxia as soon as Molten Core is down; pre-raid BiS gear and raid consumables will be farmed while everyone is keying

September 9 (6:00 p.m.) - Server first Onyxia, with the intent of having both raids cleared before lockouts reset.

September 14 (11:59 p.m.) - Players will be expected to be in full pre-raid BiS gear with a level 20 warlock for summons by this point

September 23 (11:59 p.m.) - Players will be expected to have max professions on their mains and a raid-ready alt available for split runs by this time

October 21 (11:59 p.m.) - Players will be expected to have a third raid-ready character for further split runs
Phase 2
- Volunteer farmers will make gold from Dire Maul to fund raid consumables
- Guild professions are expected to be coordinated entirely by this point with the interest of being sustainable throughout classic and beyond!
- Monopolize World Boss kills
- Those interested in early PvP ranking (pre-BG phase) will provoke world PvP between split raids (due to PvE server restrictions, serious ranking will likely be difficult)
Phase 3
- server first Blackwing Lair
- coordinated group rotations for PvP ranks
- begin using alts for GDKP pugs to fund guild consumables
Phase 4
- server first Zul’Gurub
- further monopolize world bosses
- begin farming for AQ war effort and continue rank 14 rotations
Phase 5
- in-guild Scarab Lord; server 1st AQ 20 and 40
- continue GDKP pugs, split runs, and rank 14 rotations
Phase 6
- server first Naxxramas
- get full BiS gear on all main raiders (including rank gear)
- establish wealth (via GDKP, farming, selling clears, etc.) for further iterations of Classic (TBC/WotLK/etc.)
