With Ascendance you obvisouly prime it for ST or AoE. Rn I have been Going from Primordial wave into Lightning bolt to consume the Buff. This will make my Windstrikes also do Lightning bolt. My Main question is do i wait to have MSW stacks before casting Ascendance or should i use right after i used LB to prime it.
TLDR: Do i use Ascendance regardless of stacks after using LB or wait till i have stacks to use it?
Generally this isnt an issues as you want to be using Deeply Rooted Elements for better uptime and not even bothering with P-wave. If you are running P-Wave then you want to abandon Ascendance and consider running Ele-Blast with Ele-wolves while filling out the Lava-lash tree.
All of this is wrong for elementalist in tww
Make sure you prime yourself correctly but you may encounter situations where you’ll need to LB within Asc in between WS due to the insane MSW generation. Generally, using Asc (and other CDs) take a higher prio than spending, aside from a 10 stack tempest
The opener mentions firing off an 8+ MSW LB before asc to consume pwave but I imagine it’s probably a minor difference to consume it between 5-8 MSW in Asc. The former is probably still optimal tho
tldr glue yourself to the new prio list to answer this for all situations
You are right, for some reason I am still in season 4 brain. I saw Ascendance and brain farted. OP disregard what I said.
its all good, even I need to fight to rewire my brain to play with the new “spend over everything” prio
Yeah I saw that new build. I am gonna stick to the old one unless it sucks really bad. Does casting tempest interfere with elemental blast? I don’t wanna play ENH with no ele blast.
Currently it’s a damage loss to use EB over tempest strikes (I hate that it has the same name as the hero talent almost) although it’s still better than totemic. You aren’t using LvB either it’s just LB and CL
Asc is taken mainly to get to the the refund and dmg amp talents for elementalist. TCs have said you mainly will use it when you have an opportunity to get the most out of it, if that situation doesn’t come up it’s no big deal. I have been mainly using it when ground mechanics get a lil too crazy and I have to step out
