I’m kinda digging the whole going super saiyan thing with the hair, they’re goofy looking but kinda of endearing not what I was expecting at all but still an improvement over the original.

they couldn’t be more disconnected from what shaman class players want… this dogwater model has no connection to shaman at all…

the head piece. WHAT is that? Is that an orange bouffant? That design is awful. (edited).
Could have just left the skull part.
It’s like one of my writing teachers said…
“write what you mean. Don’t add a bunch of fluff”. This looks like fluff and it should be deleted out.

You’re right. You can’t please everyone with one visual. But come on, some design choices are clearly going to appeal to more players than others.
This new visual is a big miss and it makes me think they don’t actually understand what a shaman in wow is. We are not twilight cultists.

The head piece just needs to be completely reworked, make it more shamanistic or elemental and it be great.
Till then, thank god Ele Stormbringer doesn’t have to use Ascendance, but as Resto and Enhance I don’t know what I’ll do….

When people outcried against the the new animations at the end of legion they cancelled it. That wasn’t even a problem.
This is 100x worse.

Looks pretty good from my standpoint and the colors stand out, and in terms of expectations I wasn’t even thinking there would be anything. Animations might be decent, and more stuff coming, who knows?
So I become now an Elemental Banshee…
Same hair and essentially the face looks more undead ghoulish then Shaman.

Hair’s a lil goofy but generally I think it’s cool. I honestly do think that a Dathea style would be way more fitting as the baseline look, maybe with the old model and this new model as glyphs/customisation options.

I will say as well it’s a step in the right direction and I want to be positive about it, I do enjoy it and like that they took the time to create something new so that deserves props, it’s easy to bash and focus on the negatives but, I am happy and it still looks cool

I like it but it seems most people hate it, it’s already being destroyed on Reddit. Having a serious discussion about it on the Shaman discord proves impossible so I’ll say my take here without too much spam or some silly mods threatening me with a time out because having opinions apprently means trolling.
I think it looks cool but it is too much out of what a WoW character would become. That new acension looks what would make a cool dungeon / raid boss but not a hero power up. I get that people are tired of the Cataclysm model we got.
Some people want the Cata model to stay, which I think -should- be done with a glyph, but Blizz try to eliminate all of the old pixels to slice between WoW Classic and WoW retail. So it probably won’t happen, and the old will be gone. (Yay, tired of that dumb form, never liked Cataclysm stuff!)
I hope Blizzard see the backlash, and review this new Acension model, granted we don’t see it often, it’s still something that should look good. Druid get all the love, Demon Hunters get a cool metamorphosis. We deserve something up to date that feels more in line with the character over a something that looks Blanka out of street fighter or a Troll figure from Trolls.

The only thing I enjoy about this is that I’m going to be able to make a Eustace Bagge macro that’ll shout out “OOOOOOGA BOOGA BOOGA” because that’s all I can think about when I look at those “updated” models
