Glad they’re finally updating it but not a big fan of the “scooby-doo villain” look they decided to go with.
Hoping the “extra adjustments” include bringing back the old glyph

Absolutely horrible.
Nothing about this says “being ascended with the elements”.
Just use the character model and do some swirly and glowy stuff instead.

I actively avoid Ascendance talents because the old form looks terrible, and now somehow it was made even less appealing.
To the art team: look at shaman heroes of lore, do you really see them looking like this?

unfortunately glyphs are very outdated. we should be able to fully customize the ascendace form in the barbershop, just like warlocks and druids with their pets/form.

Yeah at this point I think they’re going to be removing glyphs pretty soon lol. I already abandoned inscription preemptively. They should just combine it with enchanting already …

Yeah and it pains me to see inscription in this state, I used to love it. It has so much potential but they choose to ignore it.

It’s nice to have a re-done model but for some reason it feels out of touch, like in terms of class/spec fantasy how does this correlate over to shamans? I get making the model in general takes some level of creativity but this points in a direction none of us I think saw coming?

The new Ascendance models are fine, better than old ones. Hopefully they add in customizable options.
People trashing them completely and shaming the art team are exactly why it took so long to get new models.
No one wants the same thing, some people want to be an elemental others just want lame swirly stuff around your current character (obviously I’m not a fan of that choice), so for them to create something that everyone is pleased with is impossible.

It looks terrible. Like some horror movie troll who got electrocuted. It’s worse than what we have now the people who designed it are so out of touch.
Just give us the see through star model glyph and we will all shut up I promise.

It’s really bad. I would prefer just some elemental or something to this model. Customization would be cool but this design doesn’t say shaman to me in any way.

I don’t like the new model, also didn’t like the old model. I wish they would just do something simple like how some primalist NPCs have glowing eye options:
Currently they are flagged as NPC only and cover all the elements. Add that, add some more glowing all over, let us keep our model (maybe make it bigger) and that would be fine.
