"As with other Illusions, Wraithchill cannot be applied to certain weapon types."

Knock this crap off, Blizzard. There is LITERALLY no valid reason why us hunters can’t apply these weapon enchants to our guns, bows, and crossbows. There was a technique to pull this off back in Legion so I KNOW it looks good.

If I’m a hunter main, why would I get the most expensive version of WoW:Shadowlands if I can’t even use everything included?

Everybody knows the real reason to get the Epic version is the Hearthstone lol

What does the new illusion look like?

It paints your whole weapon blue.

Cool thanks!

There are certain 1 handers that don’t take enchantments looks, mostly because they already have effects on them.

Hey Blizzard, there are guns that have effects coming out of the muzzle like the upgraded shrediron shredder and bows that have effects near the handle like the huntmaster’s longbow so maybe you can let us add effects like that? In the case of crossbows, the effect can be on the tip of the arrow.

Several fist weapons also don’t take enchantments, in particular the really small ones.

I want all enchants to work on ranged weapons. The enchant could apply to the arrow itself, rather like the BM artifact with lightning arrows.

My problem is that Blizzard just seems too lazy to make enchants work for these specific weapons. It can’t possibly be that hard in the grand scheme of the far more complex things Blizzard pulls off.

It’s not just ranged weapons that this applies to. Others that have particle effects, such as the new version of Teebu’s in BFA or every single Legion artifact skin, don’t allow them either.

I agree that they could have allowed this with ranged weapons a long time ago.

The Hearthstone animation looks very cool.

I can’t tell you how tired I am of not being able to use enchants like every other class in the game. It’s frustrating.

While I don’t disagree that hunters need to be worked into inclusion in the illusion regard, you still have access to the illusion on the account, you aren’t suddenly excluded from it… You can also use it as survival.

I’m sure they’re working toward this goal in the future.

My lock can’t apply the new appearance to any of her staves. Not sure why.

Were they trying to go for a icy look or a watery look? Cause it looks very watery.

DAMN! I almost purchased this ! like I got the ok to get the epic and everything from the wife. So SO SO lucky I went to see about how to get the items knowing blizz would charge you and put some stupid crap to grind for it. no wraithchill on my bow = no pre-order maybe no order period . new name for this game should be “world of launch fail " World of grind craft” lately its “world of un-sub craft” I have lots of other things to do than deal with these Folks that cant seem to get it right for there overall community. this X-pak was "world of bore craft " Wow has been this amazing trip . I met my wife playing wow . Been together for 11 years now . I have seen the decline from Vanilla/BC to now and its gone from people with passion putting together a game experience they pulled from there hearts and minds to a money grab Blizz has no passion. All that has slowly been bled dry they are like that Boxer that burst on the scene hungry and full of life and now just sad with no passion just a tomato can for the next paycheck, win or loose ready to take a dive for a dollar anytime . Things like this although minor remind everyone teetering on the fence hopeful for that big comeback .That dig deep moment that wows us that it is not coming.

I’ve been seeing that enchant and thinking it was a bug lol. like my game wasn’t loading certain textures or something.

Fun fact: Weapon enchant visual effects can work with ranged weapons. This was found through a bug back in WoD that let you apply an illusion to a few ranged weapons.

Sadly Blizz fixed the bug by removing the ability to apply the illusion to any ranged weapons instead of opening up more options.

There was a similar bug in Legion that let me apply a really neat lightning illusion on my rifle. It looked great until Blizzard fixed the “bug”. It’s mind-boggling why they chose to fix it. At this point, after all these years, it’s almost like they have a petty hatred for hunters or anyone using a ranged weapon like that.

It. Makes. ZERO. Sense.
