has been playing since the beginning of time. I think the state of the game is fine. Yes, some things can be improved. This has always been the case though.
One of the biggest gripes this week was the affix devour. No one knew how to deal with it, because no one bothered to read up on it. I will say, that we shouldn’t have to open an internet browser to read what the spell does, because let’s face it… the tooltip leaves much to the imagination.
But once you know what it is and how to deal with it, you’re good to go and it’s honestly not that hard of an affix.
Mythic+ is fine, just read. Raiding is fine, just read. PVP is fine, just read. Everything is fine, just read.
Also, for those who are going to ask about the tooltip:
In the Mythic+ tab, it says, “While in combat. Xal’atath tears open rifts that devour the essence of players.” This doesn’t give much insight into how to deal with it.
The majority of the problems within WoW can be resolved by simply reading.
The Warcraft Logs creator estimated at expac launch that WoW could be at an all-time player count: https://x.com/KihraOfTemerity/status/1832797335497117784
Do you have data indicating that current player counts are decreasing rapidly / outside of normal expansion ebbs and flows? . Or is this based on feefees.
I agree with Blizz relying too much on external third party websites. You should be able to lean how to play the game… IN the game. Like a little proving grounds to learn these effects.
