it’s POOR testing and integration. this should have taken (but i get the trolls who know nothing about anything - especially software) 1 hour (actually - it should have been something you never saw coming). But it’s 8 to 11. then 12, then 1, then 2, then 3, then try again friday.
To those of you young people working in the software world - this is NOT what you do. if you work at a company that does this - you are working at the wong company. why? when you go to get a new job - you will be grilled on why this happened and what you should have done and what they team should have done to prevent this from happening. it’s not going to look good when you cannot answer the question. Just be clear - this is a basic a thing all companies do - but some struggle greatly to do basic updates (like blizzard).
KNOW what the testing was and why it didn’t work. KNOW why you could not update the software after many re-tries. Just answers you must know when you interview for a real software company (not one with an engine).
you have to know this stuff!
