As an Orc Warrior there is no Covenant for me

I don’t want to be a corpse, a fairy, a owl man or a vampire.

So where’s my meaningful choice?

In Legion I got to hang out in Valhalla.

Just saying.

…why not go with the Covenant that obsessed over strength and is focused around creating the strongest warriors?

We don’t all live in your Montessori hellscape where everyone gets the exact covenant of their choosing. I want to be Nightfae, but any Shaman doing that is screwing themselves.

I’m going to go with the BlueMan/Icarus crowd and I’m going to take it like a man. Sac up, son.

Just judging from the promo art, Odyn’s tastes in aesthetics might have been influenced by Bastian?

And I hated that as the warrior orderhall. My warrior isnt some wannabe viking, shes a proud military veteran.

The two covenants that fit warriors best are:

Necrolords, as they are the militaristic force of shadowlands. Theh also have an Irish lore character there Draka.

Bastion, this is the more heroic covenant. I know none of them are good or evil, but this is probably the more morally correct one. Even its special covenant mission is a boss rush which is right up a warriors alley.

Every class fits in well to at least 1 covenant if you read the lore for them. Even orc warriors.

I hated the Warrior hall in Legion.

Stank too much of the High Heavens design.

Just give me my throne of skulls.

Maldraxxus, the covenant obsessed with power and fighting, or Bastion, the covenant obsessed with honor and glory. My warrior is going to Maldraxxus, but then again she is an undead.

I feel your pain, when I see bastion I see paladins and priest, when I see necrolords I see deathknight/scourge, nightfay is for Druids maybe hunters, venthyr is blood DKs.

I dont see any covenants that fit warriors, monk, DH, and mages

People keep saying warriors maldraxxus/bastion but again maldraxxus looks like scourge and DK and bastion looks more paladin.

When I think warriors I don’t think Deathknight s and paladins I think Warriors

I have a feeling more covenants / shadowland realms will be discoverered and visitable in the future. there are countless realms, we’re only seeing a few. Many of them are their own function and theme, not really of any race’s or cultures true aesthetic. I think there may be realms that fit our cultures better should the former tauren choose to be with their family in a great plains, or similar. However, this idea is also flawed in a way because that means the afterlife per culture is just an extension of their peoples and ways and traditions in life, meaning it’s like life 2, and that’s weird and not very well thought out. I do think there should be a realm where if you choose to be with your loved ones you can - or perhaps visit one another on a designated plane - such as the Tucks when they decide to meet one another every 10 years or so.

One thing that’s unsettling is that since we know what happens when we and everyone dies, there not only won’t be as much mystery, there could be the potential for things we do in life not mattering, at least not to our player characters and whomever they decide to tell of their newfound knowledge. Cultures won’t believe or have their same faith nor traditions anymore once they know of the shadowlands. “we believed in light-birds and clouds or an eternity of peace but we get vampires, and still have to eat and digest, and there’s still a sun which means plants grow, so there’s life and decay in the after life just like in regular life? never mind! not worshiping this statue anymore! lol!” /tips statue over. my guess is our player character won’t tell the rest of their or others’ cultures about the shadowlands as that could break their believes and end their people’s ways.

for our knowledge of the shadowlands to matter going forward, it will have to become an important concept that requires integrating it into our future adventures, or nothing that we do will matter since we know what comes next and we’re aware of the cycle. knowledge of the shadowlands will have to be connected to every future story; be it always in a state of needing protection since it’s a foundation of existence/reality and therefore maintain it’s balance, or, we could have our memories wipes after our adventure there but I doubt that. whatever the case may be, disovery of the shadowlands effects everything we care do to moving forward, from explaining the grand scheme of things to the different races of azeroth and beyond, to deciding nothing matters anymore since we know what comes next and it’s not being with our loved ones, that it’s too bizarre like a sequel to life with it’s own rules, to embracing it. it’s going to require our characters to cope and decide how to move.

as for what the shadowlands reveals about our races, that’s another big mystery right there because the titans created a lot of constructs, yet only when they were cursed did they develop the ability to die which means the old gods purposefully or accidentally gave the constructs souls who would be able to move on. also, many of the constructs who became mortal resemble the races of the shadowlands, kyrians look human so did the titans build constructs based off knowledge of the kyrians? humans only look like kyrians AFTER they were affected by the curse, as the vruykil while similar in a way, don’t resemble kyrians as much as humans do.

my guess is the titans have knowledge of the shadowlands and must have been given permission and/or ingredients to create constructs and the titans based their inventions off the denizens of the shadowlands’ models. perhaps the creations were or were not given anima or souls. interesting is that they creations only moved on to the shadowlands after they were transformed by the old gods’ curse - meaning perhaps the old gods intend to send the beings into the shadowlands for a reason. otherwise, I don’t think the titan constructs move on when they die, they might break down like machines, I’'m not really sure. perhaps they move on too if they were given anima seeds or souls, an ingredient the titans were given as one of their ingredients.

so if we all have anima, perhaps it’s our time and experiences in life that nurtures it and feeds it and makes it grow, so that when we die, our anima/soul is full and ripe enough to be granted access to the afterlife, where the anima is necessary and welcome. perhaps our experiences and deeds, trials, etc all contribute to the growth of the anima while on the plane of the living, and it’s a lifetime of these experiences that help it flourish. that’s why when we die, the spirit healer decides if we’re ready or not, and see’s our anima is not large or good enough quality yet to be approved for what the shadowlands requires. so many questions!

Same. It’s just nothing I want. Sure my Shadow Priest is going to go Vampire for the flavor, but I want my Warrior to have a good option that feels right.

lol autocorrect

Because then OP couldn’t come here to whine about it.

I don’t feel it’s aesthetic. Sorry I think outside that box.

I kinda feel ya OP. Not a fan of the brainwashed blues, and a Pally hanging out with a bunch of abominations is like dogs and cats getting along.
