As a Warrior

Will I need to equip intellect gear for faster weapon skill leveling?
Yes, warriors wear paly gear to level up weapon skills.
Another reason to love classic. How i loved the extra stuff you had to do.
Nah, I remember whenever I had to train up a skill I'd find lower level mobs and spam rank 1 hamstring for a few minutes.
There used to be a few mobs that couldn't do much to you that were unkillable, they were the best weapon training dummies.
Lmao, what idiots did this? To save a collective 12 minutes? Bahaha.
Just wait till the hunters need roll on all your gear. <3 stat sticks!
People only did it to level up an off weapon or a new weapon. Like if they were level 48 and picked up an axe for the first time. Just doing your quests and killing mobs you can level up weapon skills. Just keep a couple extra weapons in your bag as you go and you'll be fine. When your 2-hander maxes for current level, switch to one hander, switch to axe, etc.
Just go to Blasted Lands and attack those immune mobs. Assuming that still works.
iF i ever SEE a warrior wearing int gear, in this time and age, he's going on my personal blacklist. Don't even wanna heal that.
spam sunder, if it doesn't land it costs 0 rage
warrior levels wep skills the fastest of any class, you can go 0-max in a few minutes
Not only that but you'll also be a better leader.
You could also save any +int scrolls that you find until you are ready to level a new weapon skill. Other than that, try to find a Mage to give you AI for a boost as well. If things play out like they did back in Vanilla, most of the time when you run by someone that can buff, a courtesy buff is given out. That should also help a little.
an intellect buff from a mage will be just fine. Anyone who saves intel gear just to raise weapon skill is simply wasting bag slots
Int for weapon skill is a myth.

Maybe, maybe not. It isn't exactly something you can easily run tests for and get a lot of data...

Then you don't understand how vanilla gear worked. Was it likely to be sub-optimal for a warrior to wear int gear? Absolutely. Was it 100% not an upgrade for them over some other gear? Absolutely not. This is especially true when you are talking about levelling gear...
Totally not a myth, int will increase weapon skill rate. Get a mage to buff you. Most probably won’t just do it in passing cuz, you know, warrior and all, so just ask. It’ll make a noticeable difference if your immediate goal is to raise a skill.
I remember back in vanilla before the animation changes to thunderclap I had a full set of mage gear and a staff just for the purpose of running around "casting" thunderclap on alliance players. It was hilarious! I've also worn all gray gear in both vanilla and BC and joined groups as the tank to get reactions out of people. I remember one group that put up with me and I was so impressed I put on my SSC/TK raid gear and tanked multiple dungeons with them for being such good sports.

Someone needs to explain that to the people who played a long time ago.

I remember seeing that spirit increased weapon skill gain but it probably was removed.
