Hi, I’m currently at level 40 and have been leveling mostly through dungeons as tank…
Which direction should I go to keep levelling? Keep on spamming dungeons, solo grind or questing?
I really could use some pointers since my time to level is about 4hrs per level lately.
I’m loving to play as warrior but it’s slow as hell.
Go to Wowhead and sort zones by level. I cant recall starting 40s.
Questing solo might be slower as a war.
Im curious about this too. I just hit 40 and finaly got mount and shadowform; so im wanting to spend some time doing solo questing rather than more dungeon spam to take advantage of my new tools…
I ran to ferelas, and seems most mobs are 42/43 for the intro quests; which i can begrudgingly solo, but not very efficiently with all the resists. I suspect most of the 40-50 (tanaris, hinterlands) zones will be similar, in that most of the mobs are 41+…
I was thinking to make the trek to badlands later tonight (especially now that i have mount) since that FP is critical later on; and since i havent been there yet i assume ill have a decent chunk of 35-40 quests to power through.
From what I’ve heard, questing as a warrior isn’t as bad post 40 when you have your mount. Kargoz explains this through a few youtube videos if you’ll look him up
At 40 you should be leveling in places that are 30-40 so you can roll through the mobs… Ferelas is for 40-50 so you need to go to maybe Alterac, Arathi, Desolace, STV, Dustwallow, Badlands etc.
I two box and do this… stay about 5 levels behind where my level is and can mow through the mobs without having to stop and heal or drink… it makes the little time I have meaningful cause you can kill a bunch of stuff!
Solo:
Good music.
Green mob grinds.
(Non-prot advice anyhow, otherwise, cycle dungeons with focused guild group…PUGs will likely demoralize and cost you time)
Edit: prot slower but same formula
There a few spots here and there, like some quests in STV and Tanaris, but by far the sweet spot for a 40 is Badlands.
It’s up to you man - I’ve seen dungeon spam go faster for a warrior I sporadically grouped with (he was 46 when i logged off and then the next night when I logged on was 49). More what you prefer though. I hate to recommend it because I hate it, but if you get in an AoE farm group for SM Cath and then maybe go quest til 44, then do ZF til like 50, you’ll go pretty fast.
I prefer exploring and adventuring throughout the world, so needless to say I’m pretty far behind him now (maining a 45 mage). But, it’s all about your preference and what you like to do.
Swap of Sorrows, Badlands, STV, Dustwallow.
In a level or two: Feralas, Tanaris, Hinderlands, Searing Gorge.
I leveled between Desolace, Badlands, and Alterac until I was able to push into Uldaman.
